Stealth takedowns being back is definitely a good thing. Webrush sounds like it could be really cool too.

Dunno about you guys, but it seems like Beenox is taking the best parts of Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time, and adding to it...nice

There weren't many good parts of EoT, but i deff know what ya mean. I dont know man, these guys might just hit a home run.

yeah most definitely, this is the first time I've ever seen stuff come together so nicely for a Spider-Man game, kinda scary and cool at the same time

Yea, i deff want some alt costumes. Beenox has been good about it in the past, hope that continues.

Man I swear if this game is good, 2012 is gonna be a great year for games, so far, everything that has came out that I've been playing has been great, loving it

Game looks pretty good, definitely got my interest up. I'm still of the opinion that a slightly smaller, more detailed city is the way to go but the screenshots looked really nice.

Really not liking the look of fighting robots. The graphics and everything else about the game has me really excited, it's just those shots of fighting robots after robots (or how it seems to be), like it looked in the first trailer.

I understand how it seems that way but so far Beenox has only revealed Rhino, some thugs, and the robots as villains in the game. There will be more villain reveal trailers in the next weeks/months and with that more pics and screenshots will follow. This article that I posted was probably only given the OK to post certain images from the game that have story elements that have been revealed as of today. Beenox has assured us that there will be much more to fight besides robots.

Sneaking in to Oscorp? Damn i like the sound of that.

It does sound good :woot:

Initially Web Rush sounded like another Activision "cheap gimmick" but with the info in this article is sounds like a very cool, essential gameplay mechanic.

Scary?? How so?

Which is kinda weird...they haven't made any mention of bonus suits yet and that has me a little worried. Also, the game is up for preorder but no preorder bonuses have been announced.

I agree. So far, all my initial worries about this game have been put to rest and I'm loving what I am seeing. I'm anxious to see more though.

I got the new issue of Xbox magazine. Here's some bullet points from the article about TASM and their view of the demo they received from Beenox.

* Amazing's world will not have traditional day/night cycles, but some missions will occur at night.y got to see the part of the Rhino fight--and you fight him more than once.
Aaaw:csad:

That was one of my favorite things about SM2. It was really dynamic. With that, I think we can rule out wheater changes, too, like rain and snow.

All the other points are great, though. But I still don't understand the Web Rush.

It seems like its a traversal system. Point at an area, then hit the web rush and Spidey does some cool spidey like moves to get there. This might solve the problem of capturing Spideys agility. As iv always said, Spidey can go from the floor to a wall to a ceiling in a blink and thats been really hard to show in games. Maybe this mechanic will do that?

It most certainly does sound that way. The article also points out that there is a bullet time-slow down effect that you can trigger so you can chain several Web Rush moves together and make Spidey move even faster. I could see that effect happening just like you stated Pat, "from the floor, to a wall to the ceiling.." So outdoors it would be something like from a sign post, to the side of a bldg, to a car roof, to a light pole...all while making some amazing Spidey-esque twists and turns with his body.

Yea exactly. Im hoping they've finally nailed Spideys agility.

Thanks Webhead for the info and Aziz for the pics,:awesome::cool::up: this sounds and looks awesome, webrush sounds like it's gonna be a blast, I just can't wait!:awesome::up:

If anyone here truly wants to enjoy this game and have it live up to any expectations they may have, I suggest to not look at any gameplay videos leading up to its release. I know it seems difficult, but i've done it with god of war 3, metal gear 4, dmc 4 and shadow of the colossus, and I can honestly say those games surpassed any expectations that I had.

It was great being able to play these games and not know what would happen next or discover a new gameplay mechanic, boss etc. It took me back to the days when all I had was a game informer and some pictures to go off of. Most people on here are already set on purchasing the game, if that's the case and you truly want this game to live up to the expectations you have, I suggest you follow my advice. To each his own, but I thought I might suggest this for those interested.

Great first post and welcome to the boards!

While it is a very very hard thing to do (not watching gameplay vids), you are very right that it is totally worth it!

I looked forward to God Of War 3 like no other game before it came out. The first and second ones were some of my favourite games and for it to come out with awesome graphics on the PS3...yeah you get it.

As many others, I couldn't keep myself from watching video after video on Youtube, so when I finally got the game I knew pretty much everything about what would happen and how you would solve this and this...so it ruined the whole experience for me :( It was a really fun and epic game still, but no way near as great as I had hoped and I think it was much because of that.

I'll watch maybe one hands-on demo video but no more.

No way dude. You might be right with another franchise and another developer/publisher but we have been burned WAY too many times in the past. I can admit everything sounds good so far, but we still have YET to see real gameplay. Im not committing until i actually see this thing in motion. I think thats the best route to take.

Theres a difference between spoiling yourself and watching a video to see how a game might look. You couple that with hands on previews and you should have a good idea at how the game plays.

Oh, as I said, I'll definitely watch hands on previews. What I was mainly talking about was avoiding walkthroughs and stuff like that on Youtube.
