So is this a first for ActiBlizzard?
No. Not even remotely. Damn near EVERY Activision game has a PO bonus.

I agree, for a Spider-Man game, 2 years is a sufficient development frame. GTA on the other hand is like 2+ years, therefore they have more than enough time to implement various voice samples for pedestrians. Spider-Man has a decent amount of detail, but nowhere near the level of detail GTA has, can't really say I fault Beenox for that, because TASM Spider-Man film was announced like 2 years ago, so they've only had that much time to work on the game. At any rate, I doubt you'll be hearing the same amount lines of dialogue over and over again, at least during a playthrough of the whole game, and on top of that, you're means of travel is by swinging, so unless you ditch that and decide to walk around, chances are you'll hear repeated lines![]()
Plus they probably had a bigger team working on GTA 4 than Beenox has on TASM.
t:And in GTAIV you spend ALL OF YOUR TIME at ground level, so there has to be that level of detail. In TASM I'll be at least 5 stories above street level over half the time, only coming down to fight, do missions, and purchase insurance.t:

Right there with you. Doing the exact same thing.I can't wait to leap off an extremely tall building and wait til the last second and start a vertigo inducing swing. lol, It's probably going to be a good 15-30 minutes at least of me just swinging around and checking out the city before I even begin the story mode.

Do tellNot to rain on your parade, but didn't Dee tweet that there is a safety net in TASM like in AA where Batman shoots out a grapple hook automatically so he doesn't fall to his death? I honestly don't see the point of it, since there will be a button solely for webslinging in the game.
Do tell
It's a line I like from Superman: Doomsday, Superman replied that way to his Stating-The-Obvious cloneUm, I think he did tell.

This brings up an interesting point: I wonder what the fall damage will be like. Hopefully it's realistic (a la SM2) so that it gives you the feeling of needing some skill to navigate, less you want to loose a lot of health or die.
There is none. If you jump off the Empire State Building and try to hit the ground, Spider-Man will save himself with his webs at the last second automatically (ala Batman using his cape to float the last foot of his fall in AA and AC)
It's also stupid to have to manually reload your web shooters so I'm happy that's not in it
Watching the Hobgoblin episodes of the 90s cartoon, want to see a Spidey game with friction sliding if you stick to the wall after falling from a high distanceI remember this is the first thing I did when I started SM2...went to the top of the Empire State Building and took the plunge. It was awesome.

Yeah there is the "safety net" web animation that Spidey does that is similiar to Batman. According to the info I've seen/read, you can still do a web swing very close to the ground from a high fall.
Guess you have read stuff I haven't, because I never got that impression.
