Has this happened to anyone else? I have an upgrade available, but nothing available to purchase.

I don't think I can earn anymore XP as it's locked on "Upgrade Available" but when I go onto it, there is nothing there for me to buy.

Any suggestions?

Yea that happened to me. It only lasted like 5 minutes then a new upgrade unlocked.

Cool, Thanks Pat! You've got me hopeful! I've switched it off now, I'll try it again in the morning probably and hopefully, it'll be fine!

Definitely not getting this on PS3, for this glitch and one or two more

Default(w/ and w/out belt)
Cross species(unlocked by game completion)
Big time(unlocked by spider emblem)
Future foundations(unlocked by spider emblem)
Scarlet 2099(unlocked by spider emblem)
Raimi(orig)(unlocked by using dlc)
Raimi(black)(unlocked by spider emblem)
ASM black suit(unlocked by 100% completion)
Vigilante(ps3 only at the moment).
Negative Zone(unlocked by spider emblem)

I think that's all of em. I might be forgetting one or 2
And how do we get the Vigilante costume? It's not on my PSN.

Yea it'll go away one u level up again. It was deff odd, but I only experienced it once

Scarlet 2099(unlocked by spider emblem)

Not 2099...Scarlet Spider now. :)

Thanks. Wasnt it posted in here that they would be releasing new ones in the coming weeks. Is that still happening?

Well technically i think those are the costumes they meant. Like if you play the game right now, i believe the only costume u can unlock is the Scarlet 2099 and the ones where an emblem isn't required. You have to snap a photo of these hidden spider icons that the dev team will unlock each week. Now theres a workaround, which requires you setting your consoles clock forward and then going into the game and finding the spider emblems.

I think there is talk of further DLC costumes though.

So...I only need the sniper figurine to 100% my game and uh, I kinda dispatched them all before taking a photo. Am I screwed? Is there a level where I can photograph enemy snipers?

Yea i think so. Check your OsPhone and i think Whitney tells you where to find all the enemies you need.

Yep...she says Manhattan.

But she also says Manhattan for the seeker and you can get that one in the Oscorp research facility. Damn, here's hoping I can remember a level to find a sniper in.

This...sucks. :(

It's till the same. I still CAAN"T upgrade. I'm still collecting points, but with the upgrade I have, there's nothing there available to use it with, so as far as I'm aware, the points I'm gaining, aren't going anywhere. I've started a new level hoping that would sort it out, but it hasn't.

This is a more annoying glitch then having my game save be deleted, as I wasn't that far into the game, I've since restarted and managed to find all 700 comics.
But this is pretty much a crippling glitch as I can't upgrade Spidey. Tech upgrades are fine, but this is majorly annoying.

Anyone else got any tips or advice?

OKAY! Hopefully it's sorted now!

I levelled up again and a new upgrade unlocked. It does mean that I've lost the upgrade I had previously, but I'll take the loss if it means it will work now!

No it doesnt, your points just pooled. Its just a glitch in the notification system. It claims you have an upgrade available when you actually dont. You dont lose any of your points though, at least i didn't. You never actually had an upgrade to unlock, the game just thought you did.

Early thoughts and observations:

Doesnt feel like a Beenox game. It feels very different from SD and EoT. Not sure if thats necesarily a good or bad thing yet. Doesnt seem to have quite the heart and personality as those games

Cons:

Not a fan of the more realistic look. I prefer a more stylized version of Spidey and the world which is why I think the graphics in the previous games were better. I see they went this route bc of the movie but if they were going to do that, I wish the characters at least look like their movie counterparts. Gwen doesnt look like Emma Stone to me at all and neither does Conners. Upset that she doesnt voice her either

Also not a fan of the swinging. Spidey feels too "floaty", if you know what I mean like there's little to no weight to him and it feels too simplistic. I also wish you can hang from your web but it seems you can only swing from it in motion

You cant double jump in this game? For some reason that really bothers me bc I keep going to do it, but cant

No Spidey Sense mode. Did they feel this would be too similar to Batman AC's detective mode? I mean they already let that game inspire them on so many other things. There are times where Ive felt lost and thought spidey sense like in the last games could have been beneficial to help point me in the right direction

Levelling system seems lacking. I still feel WoS had the best upgrade system when it came to getting new moves and improvements. Doesnt seem like there's much here

Lack of costumes. Beenox went above and beyond before to provide a TON of costumes from the books and its a shame thats not the case here.

Pros:

Im gonna contradict myself here bc while Im not a fan of the swinging, it is fun to just swing around NYC and collect pages. I enjoy the freedom to be found outside which you dont get indoors. I only wish there were more outdoor missions.

The combat took me a little getting use to. At first I felt it was too slow but I enjoy it now. I especially like the signature moves and how you can string together attacks. Unfortunately it doesnt feel like enough. I wish he had more moves

Love the environmental interactions especially how you can use your webbing (or strength) to hurl objects at enemies

Stealth takedowns. Like how these are implemented. I only wish he could do them from walls and ceilings like in SD instead of zipping to the opponent, exposing yourself in the process.

I like the focus move that allows you to slow things down and select where you want to swing to or aim your webstrike. Nice new feature

Camera. The thing is way too close to Spidey's back. I think it should be pushed back a little bit

Im only in the middle of Chapter 3 so I know I have alot more to do and see

Ew

Getting rid of the cartoon visuals, dropping double jump and bringing the camera in close are the best thing Beenox has done yet. They need to take more cues from the Arkham titles, not less.

If i had to see one more stupid explosion of light during a combo in SD/EoT, i was gonna break my disk in half. Luckily for me, the game(s) ended and i never had to go back to them.

Why not? I think they poured more love into this one

When it comes to environments I don't mind it either way, so long as it looks good
But I see what you mean about Stone and Ifans

You cant double jump in this game? For some reason that really bothers me bc I keep going to do it, but cant
When I play games with double jump I avoid pressing the jump button in midair just to confirm to myself how easy that "flaw" is to get over and not complain about, thought I don't really mind it

It should mean no need for it, kinda good

C'mon, this game has so many costumes for just one Spider-Man
SD had 4 costumes for each Spider-Man, EoT imported them if a save file in system of SD have those suits, plus two Spider-Men in EoT

And you played a third game in a close time with the flash of lightening, WoS has that too, did you tempt to break it?

Man i couldn't even get through WoS. I think i maybe put 3 hours into that game before i couldn't take any more.

IDA. I hated those two last additions especially. They shouldnt simply try to emulate the Batman games bc those worked for Batman bc Spidey is a different character. Whats next? We shouldnt have a jump button bc Batman didnt and all jumping should be contextual?

As for visuals, I think its tolerable bc it is a movie tie-in but for the next game, assuming its not, Id welcome a more stylized take again. The graphics lookre pretty good in SD and EoT. Any of those art styles is better than what is seen here.

I admit Im still very early on but this Peter seems a bit bland compared to the previous character renditions, not to mention the supporting characters as well. One review said the city feels lifeless and I can see that. Its something which is a bit more emphasized here going to a bigger scale as opposed to a more contained linear experience.

When it comes to environments I don't mind it either way, so long as it looks good

Unfortunately I think the environments look a little on the bland and generic side so far.

I think his jumps are too high and floaty. I would have preferred if his jump was shorter with a double jump option to go higher.

SD had 12 total, and most if not all great renditions from the books. EoT had even more. Sorry but ASM's selection is dissapointing in comparison to all the ones offered in the past.

What? Spider-Man is the blandest he ever was in SD, too many one liners and acting as a hero just cause he is, nothing more

It has more life than all previous Spidey games, and that "lifeless city" comment should never be a big issue in games the gamer spends most of his time swinging high above the crowds

He Spider-Man, his jumps are high and cover high distance, it's part of his powers, not adding this to games is not a proper move

11 costumes for one character is less than 4 costumes for each character? Or more than for but less than 10 for one character in another game? Really? REALLY?

There was 4 different and unique Spidermen. Overall I thought they all had decent characterizations and lines. Again, maybe things will change for me bc I am early but Pete so far is a bit on the bland side

Not the biggest issue, but one I felt I needed to comment on

He Spider-Man, his jumps are high and cover high distance, it's part of his powers, not adding this to games is not a proper move
I dont recall saying he shoulldnt have that. I did mention utilizing the double jump to get that effect

11 costumes for one character is less than 4 costumes for each character? Or more than for but less than 10 for one character in another game? Really? REALLY?
You keep breaking it down per character but the fact is there were 12 costumes in SD. 24-28 in EoT an guess what? Thats more than 11 per 1 Spider-man. Really its not the quantity thats the issue but the quality.. Most of the ones in ASM arent even good adaptations as those from the books and the more popular classic ones arent included. The FF one? Ugh, doesnt even have the right color scheme. No clue why they would invert that one. Seriously they did do a better job at providing better costumes in the past game. If you think the selection in ASM is better than SD or EoT, than good for you, but I prefer what the past set
