What I don't get is the physics of Sandman... How is he able to turn his clothes into Sand? Thus causing anyone who touches him, just to go straight tru... Does he have the ability to turn things he's wearing to sand as well? It doesn't make any since...

Maybe the clothes that Sandman is wearing were the ones that he was in when he got turned into the Sandman, so the clothes were affected too. So when he turns around, his clothes turn with him. His clothes are basically apart of his "sand" body.

And there'll have to be one scene, probably when Sandy and Spidey first fight, where Peter thinks he's beaten him cuz Sandy's splooshed, but then Sandy reforms, probably behind him.
Then sneak attack and spider-sense.

Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be a classic. I don't hear alot of Sandman on these boards. I wonder why? He is the main villain of Spider-Man 3, and the biggest threat to Spidey in the movies so far. We probably won't get Venom until the end, and maybe just for 10 minutes.

I've been having this, its not an idea but, something about Sandman. In this movie, can you imagine the impact he will have? Visually and on the story of Spider-Man 3. I wonder what Sam has in store for us when, come May 4, we take our seats in the movie theatre and experience what Sandman will look like when he is attacking Spidey with sand. Can you just imagine Spider-Man dodging sand? Jumping from building to building. It will look amazing, in short ladies and gents. What weapons will Sandman use to destory, or hurt Spidey? Sandman can mold into anything. Can Spidey even match up to Sandman without the help of the symbiote suit? I think, to be realistic, that Venom will be Sandman's undoing. What do you guys see? I'd love to hear your thoughts, your fresh expertese.

Holy crow - Sandman has given the Thing a run for his money and Ben Grimm goes toe to toe with the Hulk and Galactus fer cryin' out loud.

Sandman will be the greatest threat to Spidey in the movies...so far. The guy is sand. What chance does Spidey have against a guy that can not only re-conter act everything Spidey throws at him but can basically destory him. The thing is, that GG, Doc Ock , and Venom can be touched. Sandman is a completely different thing. When Spidey tries to throw a punch at Sandman, it will go right through. And when Spidey tries to web him, Sandman will walk right through. You need to read more and research more on Sandman.

Spidey's fought hundreds of people who have a powerlevel higher then sandman.. doc ock, venom and gg combined. so dont tell me hes the bigger threat.. because he isnt a genius..

two factors go into what makes a villain a bigger threat, and neither one of them is power..

its there schemes, there brains and knowledge and how they use it.. Green goblin knows how to effect peter the most.. and how to hurt him, mentally crippling him more then any other villain.

Venom is an equal threat, but where he lacks in genius he makes up for in instinct and the uncontrolability that the symbiote gives him. He sticks to walls like spidey, spins webs, is stronger, is more durrable, can camoflauge himself.. and is imune to spider-sense... but to top all that off... hes hardly human.. hes an animal. and knows EVERYTHING about peter.. from what his favorite food is, who his insecurities.. to who he loves..

Ock rounds off the trio by being insane, yet a genius... he has NO powers, no extra strenght, just his mind and mechanical arms welded onto him.

As far as the actual battles in the 3 films, just the films not the comics, Sandman will be his most challenging. Visually it will be the most stunning.

I didn't mean to question your Spidey knowledge.

But who do you think is gonna be fighting alongside Sandman in SM3? Harry Osborn/GG2. Now Harry knows everything about Peter, his love, his family, his job. Everything. He will pass his knowledge to Sandman, and guess what? He'll be a big threat to Spidey, trust me.
