The soul gem/stone thing could be a good way of keeping the "dead" heroes around for a good part of A4. I can't imagine how they are going to market, or even write a plot, with so many popular heroes out of the picture until the Thanos God situation is reversed...

Wich makes me think that Thanos could maybe not be the villain in A4, more like in the Infinity War comics, and A3 is Thanos Quest and (part of) Infinity Gauntlet (Just thinking crazy ideas, but maybe A4 has an early final battle against Thanos in wich Stark gets a hold of the Gauntlet, rolls back everything, but his dark side -Iron Magus? :P - keeps the Gauntlet and must be defeated by Thanos and the Avengers)

I am glad they went with a recast, at first I was like maybe Hugo was back. Then I noticed his voice was different and the design of the face. His story seems over. If they want to revisit him I think Nebula and someone would go. She knows the Soul stone was there, maybe retrieve Gamora's body.

Yeah, Magus could very well be the villain in the next if they go that route. Thanos' whole goal was like he was very relcutant to do what he needed to.

Now that I've seen the film, I'm going back to my original thought. Thanos isnt really going to be a villain with an evil scheme in Avengers 4. He accomplished his goals in Infinity War and at the end he is content and happy and essentially has retired to a quiet life in a cabin on a beautiful planet. He doesnt seem to want to do anything else other than to live a quiet life and I suspect he intends to guard the stones and make sure no one else can get them and use them. Avengers 4 will be the mirror image of Infinity War. Instead of Thanos trying to take the stones and the Avengers trying to stop him it will be the Avengers trying to take the stones and him trying to stop them.

So why wasn't War Machine contacted when the battle went down in New York? Or at least a scene where Tony sent him a message for him to stay frosty or even try to contact Cap

Yeah, I think potentially, Thanos' only goal in A4 will be to stop the Avengers from undoing what he did.

Probably because Ross makes it hard for Rhodes to do anything. It all happened so suddenly and I doubt Ross would have given War Machine permission to go to New York. Hed want to discuss it with his committee of bureaucrats first. And Tony probably didnt want to put Rhodes in a position where he had to possibly to disobey Ross.

Seriously, Ross really needs an ass beating. He's such a *****enozzle. An alien ship just landed in New York, super powered baddies are wrecking ****, Tony is missing, and Thanos is on the way. The situation couldn't be more dire. And Ross's main concern is arresting Cap, Sam, Scarlet, and Natasha. Seriously, wtf...

Yeah thatd be very satisfying. I know this film has a lot going on, but I would have liked to see a moment between Bruce and Ross.

I don't really care for General Ross he clearly has no power in what these heroes do. Dr.Strange got to Tony and Tony didn't have to check in. He has his weapon on him at all times. He deployed the Iron Spider without asking for permission. The Accords are meaningless and so is Ross. Main thing that happen in CW was breaking up the team through Zemo's plan the Accords didn't do that.

Can I say that I LOVED that all my favorite characters died? I mean I hated to see them go but DAMN did it add to the weight of the film. So many great character moments too. Also from the first time I saw The First Avenger I knew Red Skull wasn't dead and had been transported elsewhere.

This is why Civil War was so pointless. Captain America could be just like. Yeah I'll sign .

Then he can just be like, "Oh I was there already. Intelligence was actionable under section G-32 of Accords. Probable Cause. Ipso Facto."

The fact is the world needs the Avengers. Just do it and ask for permission later . If they put you in jail just be like..."Oh jail. Oops. Sorry I got out. Will c u Monday!"

I was waiting for ross to comeback and vanish like some of the heroes at the end. My thing is about ross and the accords is has it been successful in 2 years or a failure, they never touched on it. The world is burning as ross said yet he wanted cap arrested on site

It is a failure or pointless. BP announced to the world that Wakanda is willing to help, he didn't have to sign the accords. The govt knows he is BP because CW. Cap and his team have still been going around helping. Strange has not had to sign anything and he wouldn't either.
