Infinity War The Avengers: Infinity War Part I & II The Official News and Speculatio - Part

Well we don't actually know it's a full-scale invasion. They might just be hitting the spots where they know the Stones are (namely wherever Doctor Strange and Vision are).

Yep that's what it looks like to me based on the set pics and footage

I still think it's with Heimdall. Makes too much sense. His orange eyes, him saying he can see the souls of everyone, his eyes being white in Thor's vision (implying he loses the stone), the actual literal orange stone on his chest in TDW, etc.

It's contradicted by that the Asgardians don't want two Infinity Stones near each other though.

Watching the trailer.

Are there any pictures or videos of their reactions?

Probably not, that pic of them sitting is likely before the clip rolled. They tell everyone at these things no cameras or devices during a clip.

I say Hela or Surtur [BLACKOUT]because he has a orange glow from the toy they showed. [/BLACKOUT] The opening part in the teaser of Thor could be where souls get taken.

There have been worse retcons. Also, we're not entirely sure the Tesseract is on Asgard, are we?

Remember, by the end of TDW, Loki is in charge. He could be up to something.

I agree. I just think it's too obvious so they won't do it. I think Hela has something to do with where it is, but again, that seems to obvious as well.
Can't wait to find out though!

Obvious to us nerds, yeah. It seems they've really been setting him up for it in Phase 2.

I wonder if one of those are Dinklage...
I still think he is either Pip the troll or Starfox.
Mackie, Boyega, Cheadle, and Boseman at D23:

Knowing what a fanboy Boyega is you just know he was nerding out.
I don't see how any of the Avengers besides Hulk and Thor can be a physical threat to Thanos.

Ant-Man could kill Thanos by pulling a black ant (climb in some orifice of Thanos and enlarge himself). Alternatively he could also just plant a bunch of mini bombs in him and blow him up internally like they did to Pym technologies at the end of Ant-Man.

No way Marvel are actually going to have Ant-Man do any of that stuff. Premeditated murder isn't exactly a heroic attribute but those are just examples of ways he could be a physical threat.

Iron Man has his Hulk buster armor which might be strong enough for him to hold his own against Thanos.

Doctor Strange has magic which can allow him to hold his own against Thanos depending of what spells he casts.

I remember during the SDCC when they showed the Ultron trailer, they showed the panel reactions.

I always figured he'd end up crushing himself if he did this. Surely Thanos's skins is tougher than any part of the Ant Man Suit?

Ant-Man generates a blast of energy from changing size and he can manipulate his density. It's all pseudo comic/movie science at the end of the day.
The process of altering size compresses force and energy, manifesting as brief shockwaves of vibration around the target, which enhances the amount of force the target can generate. It also enhances the density and resilience of a target, making them stronger and harder than normal. Living subjects of this develop inhuman effort and exertion capabilities, notably giving them the force of a bullet while shrunk.

That shrink ray that turns people to a puddle of goo that Cross had in Ant-Man could probably kill Thanos and the black order as well.

We know that it was there last time we heard of it, and given the rundown I heard of the IW trailer regarding Loki and the Tesseract I think it's still going to be there.

To me the most logical character to have it is the goddess of death, using the stone to collect souls, but we of course don't know how Hela is operating so it remains to be seen.

Haha. No, it wouldn't. Comic logic and superhero logic simply says "cosmic god..that wont work"

Alas, Thanos is Thanos. Such tech wouldn't work.

Surtur might even have the Stone.

That is what I mentioned too and I think the opening scene in the teaser could be where he lives and the area had orange. Perhaps those things that open their eyes are souls.

Why don't they just show it straightaway? And wouldn't it boost Ragnarok?
It's too early to have a Teaser for IW. And besides it would overshadow Thor Ragnarok somewhat since the Trailer 2 is getting released very soon too. The focus from the Marvel marketing machine should be on Thor Ragnarok from now on... and rightly so. It's the next movie in line and the one everyone should be focused on. And as someone already said it's kinda hard to balance Thor's part in IW while still keeping the interest strong in TR.

The best choice is to keep that footage under wraps until TR comes around. I also think the Comic-Con focus will be mostly on Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther. While IW still has plenty of time to gather steam... It's a tuff balancing act from Marvel with so many important movies close to each other. They need to be on point with the way they release stuff.

Yeah. Plus the Bucky/Thor stuff in the trailer might be spoilers for the next two movies. They probably wouldn't want to spoil that for the general public. I doubt we'll see anything for IW next week.

I really think they have a GA teaser and a Convention teaser. Whenever they release a GA teaser my bet either before Thor or X-Mas that they will cut out anything that may spoil Black Panther and Thor.

If they really want to make a statement they may release it before JL comes out. That would make me laugh.

So how would you guys feel if some people's theories end up being true about Cap not having a big role in this film, in order to make up for the large ensemble of characters, and where he only rejoins the group at the end (which leads into the next film) as a result of Tony realizing that he needs to call in Steve again?

I feel like after the Russos did a bang up job with Cap in Winter Soldier, then proceeded to shaft him in Civil War, we could see some more and better Cap in IW

He got the shaft in CW? Did we watch two different films?

Cool to see Boyega with the others.
