X2 was great but it frustrated me to no end on some of the inaccuracies.
I kniw Im in the minority, but X-men 2 is easily the most overrated comic book movie there is. its just another wolverine movie. X-men FC walks all over it. I totally expect the Avengers to take the title for best ensemble superhero movie next year.
Are you sure about that? Let's rehash foxes track record...
Great Films:
X-men
X2
X-men first class
Mediocre to complete bombs:
Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four rotss
Daredevil (not counting the directors cut, only theatrical release)
X-men 3
X-men origins: wolverine
Elektra
So sorry... 3 great x-men films and 6 "blah" films... is not a good track record.
Civil War is what got me into comics... Its one of my favorite if not my favorite storylineWhy are people talking about Civil War? Civil War was a steaming pile. If we're gonna adapt some big time events, let's adapt some good ones kaaaaay?
As far as I'm concerned, ALL of your posts are spam. All you do is knock people's opinions and act like a wannabe moderator instead of actually contributing to debates or discussions. Your presence in this forum is really starting to seem pointless because [for some reason] you seem to think that you can dictate what's being discussed here. What was it that you said last time? Oh yeah, "I move that since we're not allowed to post leaked pics that we disallow the discussing of leaked scripts." I laughed so hard at that post. "I move". You're not a mod. Suggestion: next time you see a debate going on in this thread, try adding to the topic being debated instead of taking laughable jabs at me.This is the guy who claims his brother's opinions are representative of the entire GA, so you have to take it with a grain of salt. He makes these outrageous posts and then spams the thread with a bunch of ******** replies. You should ask him if he's read the script.
The "FOX makes bad CBMs" argument is dead & Marvel Studios has gotten sloppy. The very rushed X-Men: First Class was the best CBM this summer & in the last 3 years. Marvel was too worried setting up Avengers to give us Cap & Thor movies at the level of First Class or an Iron Man sequel at the level of X2. As far as I'm concerned, FOX has a better track record with their movies & while most of it is probably thanks to Bryan Singer, they're still FOX movies nonetheless. Marvel's ace was Iron Man & we are yet to see something as good. For me, Feige is more concerned with cash than quality. He gives the fans what they want in staying close to the comic but then delivers an inferior product with no apologies. I prefer quality to accuracy.
Well, Marvel Studios only have ONE great film (Iron Man), so... Yeah, Fox got the better track record.

Even if it is just another Wolverine movie, it's a good one unlike...you know..Wolverine.I know Im in the minority, but X-men 2 is easily the most overrated comic book movie there is. its just another wolverine movie. X-men FC walks all over it. I totally expect the Avengers to take the title for best ensemble superhero movie next year in the eyes of most people.
IM2, Thor & Cap are not quality movies. They're just good popcorn movies. I love the characters - so I enjoyed the movies. But ask a person that doesn't care about the characters, how they felt, & the last thing you'll hear is that they're quality films. X2, X-Men: First Class & X-Men (the one that launched this genre) on the other hand are considered great movies by fans & non-fans alike. I'll take a film that advances the genre any day (First Class) over one that whilst entertaining is just by-the-numbers (Cap). I'm really hoping that with The Avengers (and Joss Whedon) we can get a return to quality from Marvel Studios.
Wolverine 1-3 are better than Wolverine origins. that's not saying muchEven if it is just another Wolverine movie, it's a good one unlike...you know..Wolverine.
Again, this is your opinion, one that seems to be in the extreme minority. XM and X2 are good films, but I fear that both are really approaching the level of being overrated. I would not consider XM any better than Thor and X2 for all of its praise still has some flaws. I haven't seen XM:FC but I'm sure I'll enjoy it when I do, but that doesn't mean that I will cease to be nervous about Marvel's Fox-held properties.
Yes, but most of it is secret (no access to extras & paparazzis). So are they shooting anymore awesome stuff today?

X-men may have launched the genre but I would say that it doesn't stand up to any of marvel's films when viewed today, and while first class and X2 were both great comic films they too are by no means light years ahead of what marvel studios has produced. Not to mention when you think about the broad heroes that marvel is dealing with, a radioactive monster, a billionaire tech head, a WWII super soldier, and a norse/alien god, and the fact that they have delivered high quality films and managed to tie them all together into one cohesive whole is so much more impressive than anything fox has produced x-men wise that I can't even believe that you are mentioning that studios name in this thread. Although they did have an impressive summer first class and apes were both great films.
Their security is quite tight, when needed.I wonder if they're shutting down the buildings surrounding the scene as well. They must have, otherwise someone would have taken shots from inside.
That's a big set closure.
