I really do hope Ms Marvel gets a look in. Love Wasp and all that but definitely prefer her as a female Avenger. I feel Wasp gets overused nowadays because she's a 'cute lil tinkerbell'. I have to, I can't STAND Wasp on EMH. She's basically just Jubilee. Sassy, annoying, immature chick with lame powers that they are constantly trying to make look cooler so she doesn't seem out of place alongside Thor etc.
I'm not sure if they went over her age but she definitely comes off as a teenager who doesn't do much other than tag along. All the Jane Pym's I've ever read about are fully grown.

Also, where does Vision fit in? Doesn't he have ties to Kree or some race like that? Or would we need Pym for Vision to be introduced into the series?

@Victus, you just putting that forward as your speculated scenario? You seem to be putting it in like a 'this will happen'. Care to elaborate?

We'd need Pym, Ultron, AND Wonder Man lol

which is exactly why it'd be genius to make him captain marvel. He's completely believable if an alien in disguise, because there's something very unfamiliar about how he appears on screen, almost scripted, over calculating, and not really "in touch" with human emotions (at least that's how he's always come off to me) he comes off far less relaxed than fury and even widow with everything he's doing, yet he still takes charge and knows what he's doing (As seen in thor). There's also something extremely alluring and mysterious about him. while everyone is thinking he's a skrull, it'd be pretty awesome to have him be kree.. or Mar-vell instead.

It would be an awesome twist if this happened.

no, i don't believe Vision has kree ties... he's created by ultron (who's created by Hank Pym, and i believe he shares Wonderman's brain patterns and the android body based off of the original human torch.

Wolvie, there was a time when The Inhumans were under the control of Ronan who turned them into an army of spies and mercenaries. Perhaps they've given Ronan's role in that arc to Thanos & he unleashes them on Earth to recover The Tesseract. You don't think that could work? Also, you're right to have your doubts about Pony Boy but I'm pretty sure he's got some major connections in the production based on all his scoops. Not sure if he's read the script, but he definitely knows more than we do.

In the comics (and probably season 2 of EMH) Vision is created by Ultron and is based on the brainwaves (I forget if that was the specific term, but that's the jist of it) of Wonder Man.

I don't think that'd be followed to a tee but the Pym -> Ultron -> Vision chain of events would be nice if followed.

Maybe they will go Silver Surfer style CGI to do the Kree hence the mo-cap suites?

I figured they would be like Iron Man, hence the mo-cap suits like RDJ wears on set.

Well she is dating Hank in the show I believe. I'm inclined to think she's an adult.

I believe it is Ultimate Captain Marvel

Well Ultimate Captain Marvel is my new favorite look for the character and if he appears in the Avengers I sure hope his look is similar to this.

I love Wasp too but she definitely can't support her own films. If anything she'll be a supporting character in any Ant-Man films.

I think Ms Marvel genuinely could be as big as Cap and Thor and a huge part of the franchise. Plus it'd be nice to have a female character as integral to the series as the big three. Marvel seems to be pushing her as such in the comics in recent years (but they're also doing the same for Spidey and Wolvy :csad:)

I think there is room for both and their respective personalities. :)

Give Widow a smaller role if you have too. :)

Im not familiar with this story... The Inhumans were created by the Kree as sleeper agents to infiltrate earth. But there plans went wrong, and the Inhumans broke away from the kree. (it's a huge part of there story). Medusa was introduced first, as a brain washed villain under The Wizards control, in the Frightful Four (you should really find online, the story arch in the 90s fantastic four cartoon, it was handled exactly like the comics). After the Fantastic Four helped medusa snap out of it, the Inhuman royal family (the main team if you will .. Blackbolt, Medusa, Crytal, Lockjaw, Gorgon, Karnac, Triton, and Maximus the mad) had very good ties with the human race. Crystal even dated the human torch for quite some time, and Quicksilver of the X-men eventually married her and had a daughter.

The Inhumans later left earth, and settled on the darkside of the moon (sometimes they were ridiculed much like the X-men are) they for the most part, remained to have good blood with the human race, until Decimation happened, and every mutant lost their power... and in a foolish attempt to regain mutant powers... Quicksilver stole their highly sacred "Terrigen Mist rocks" (the Terrigen mist is what gives the inhumans there powers), in retaliation they had a brief terrorist attack on earth, and shortly after felt like earth was no longer there home, so they left... and due to both the Annihilation wave, and Emperor Vulcan's destructive reign as Shi-ar king... joined forces with their makers (the kree), whom they now rule over.

I'm sorry, but you'd lose SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much characterization if they were to do what you're suggesting. And Marvel has no desire to twist there properties completely backwards (like the x-men franchise) for no real reason. they'd be "inhumans in name only" IINO's if you will...

One thing I'd ALSO like to this film to do is recap on the odd scene here or there, where necessary or pick up IMMEDIATELY after certain after credit scenes.

Mainly, I'm think of the Cap thawing. I really think the film could start with a great pace seeing Cap in the ice, being laser thawed, with Fury watching on, then getting to see the Times Square scene in it's entirety, what happens next etc.

For the rest, I mean, I thought the Thor after credits scene could probably be fleshed out too, find out if Loki is in Selvig all the time or just for that moment, etc.

Of course, all of this is tough because we don't know the EXACT timeline in the MCU for where Avengers starts. We know the ending of Cap is pretty much where Avengers kicks off, but we don't exactly know how far after Hulk or Thor (which ever one ends more recently) that the Cap Times Square thing actually takes place.

For some reason all of this talk about Wasp makes me even more eager to see Ultron as the main villain in Avengers 2.

It would be cool if in they did things like that in the credit sequence for the film :)

Well actually Spideyboy, with that in mind, and if they DO want to do an Inhumans movie, they could go with kinda what Alexei is suggesting but a little different... Maybe, without Ronan being involved, they ARE sent by the Kree (who maybe aren't named until the end) but after the defeat, that's when they break away.

But again, the same problems I pointed out remain, regarding casting if a solo film in mind, etc. It COULD happen, but it would be a hell of a curveball and there is much more evidence to suggest other races than Inhumans.

Yes! And introduce Vision! O_O just to keep it as big part 1 :)

Then do Kang in 3 :)

I'd like Alex Ross recaps of each of the characters' origins during the opening credits ala SM2

Because, let's be honest, Alex Ross + Avengers = Awesome

Going back to my secret wish of Coulson being Mar-Vell, I would love it if it were the Kree.

Imagine this, a specific unit of the Kree sent in to scout out earth after being alerted to the presence of the cosmic cube, a source of power and energy that could be used in their war with the Skrulls. These Kree have infiltrated as sleeper agents and have bided their time until the cube is within reach.

The end conflict could be their escape plan, some sort of devestating doomsday weapon to distract as they escape with the cube. Anyway, movie plays out, they get thwarted but warn the coming of a great war and they shall be destroyed.

Then, end credits scene, Fury talking to Coulson, Fury leaves and Coulson powers on Mar-Vell style :P

I just think it'd be totally cool if, after SHIELD and earth think the Kree are a serious threat, one of their allies turns out to be a Kree warrior. In Avengers 2 he could get incarcerated by Fury and interrogated. Then, the Skrull or Thanos can come to earth and Mar-vell becomes an ally in the end. I could definitely see something like that working really well and blowing the whole Marvel cosmic universe wide open.

Pure fantasy though, wishful thinking :P

This sounds similar to my reply in the "Your ideal Post-Credits Scene" thread: http://forums.superherohype.com/showpost.php?p=21226165&postcount=5 :D

I am so glad that I'm not the only one who wants to see the Son of Coul outed as the Son of Hala. If it happens I swear I will jump out of my seat and start screaming right there in the theater. :awesome:

Coulson as Mar-Vell (or Mar-Vell appearing in any capacity) opens up the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The good Captain's appearance would be the perfect lead-in to the planned Guardians of the Galaxy series. There are countless ways to use Mar-Vell as a springboard for the introduction of other characters and stories. He is tied intimately to the Thanos, as well, which would make introducing the Mad Titan so much simpler. However they accomplish it, I think that getting Captain Marvel on board is important to the future development of the MCU.

LOL imagine if when Clark Greg says he may get a spin-off movie he really means as Captain Mar-vell O_O *drool*

but the inhumans from my understanding.. are pretty adamant about NOT following Kree orders... they also wouldn't be sent for anything... they're half human.
