I feel like if somebody tries to do a timeline of all these movies (including future movies) it'll end up looking like a DNA helix.

Because Loki looks like he just got roughed up from the finale of Thor and escaped to Earth.

There's nothing to indicate it does take place 2 years later.

What I want to know is how it came out that Hulk hasn't transformed in two years. Was it in the footage and mentioned by someone or did Ruffalo say it?

Hiddleston's interviews point to the fact that some time has taken place from the end of Thor until the beginning of Thor's post-credits. Remember, he said in interviews that Loki's been around the cosmos, making shady deals with "gangsters of the Nine Realms." So yeah, that indicates a long passage of time, and 2 years fits just fine.

I love how widow's terrified about the possibility of the hulk, it really shows just how much of a wild card them trying to recruit Banner is. She's probably thinking, "If this hits the fan, I'm dead."

What I wanna know is: why didn't they send Hawkeye instead? Since Jeremy Renner bragged that Hawkeye with his arrows is the only one who can bring the Hulk down. :awesome:

So is that green flash from the shack in TFA teaser just a fake out? Or could that be from a different scene?

It's just that TFA teaser suggests that there is a Hulk out in this scene.

it is so obvious that banner is going to become hulk in this scene with black widow.this is the scene where light in that cabin goes from red to green. i think thats it!

I don't think the light has anything to do with a Hulk-out. We know that Banner *does* Hulk out, because we've seen in the official trailer (Trailer 2) that his shirt rips and he turns green inside that shack.

But.

There seems to be two different scenes at the shack. The trailer shows Banner entering it (and springing the trap) during daylight hours --- can NYCC-goers confirm or deny....??? Yet the scene with the 30 or so SHIELD spec ops approaching the shack happens at night.

In any event, I think the green glow comes from something else. There's never been a green glow associated with a Hulk incident before. Maybe it's some kind of anti-Hulk weapon/tranq that Widow uses on him.

Seems to me that Hiddleston got the biggest cheers. I think Loki is becoming a rockstar. ;) LIKE A BOSS

First of all, that Hulk and Widow scene is amazing. I picture it all in my head perfectly, and hope they release it online soon. Blurry unofficialness will not do it justice.
The song was entertaining to say the least, had to hear it a couple times though to really understand it through the video.
The guy from the second video Rim posted creeps me out.
I can't wait for this movie >.<

The NYCC scene happened at night, just like in the TFA trailer. The same overhead shot of the green glow was used, minus the glow, in this clip.

In the clip, it is also mentioned that Banner hadn't hulked out in 2 years.

I don't think its been suggested yet...but, what if the 2 years are progressed through the movie? Like the team training together and what not and then theres a time shift to two years where they finally go get hulk or whatever? It's just an idea

lol; Indeed.

This is my ROUGH sketch of things:

-965 AD: The Frost Giants invade Earth, causing Odin and the army of Asgard to intervene. Odin eventually leaves the cosmic cube in the hands of the inhabitants of Norway.

-1941: The Red Skull captures the Cube

-1942 to 1945 (I think): Captain America and the Howling commandos wage war against the Hydra Bases

-2003: Bruce Banner transforms into the Hulk for the first time.

-2008: Tony Stark becomes Iron Man

-2008: The events of TIH and Thor take place

What I'm still confused about is when Steve is first discovered by the Government agents.

Hard to believe though that the Avengers take place 2 years after the events of IM2, Thor, and TIH.

It's harder than it looks to just shoot the footage.

At the risk of getting kicked out too.

If the security was anything like D23, cameras were probably confiscated during the presentation

It makes sense, given that IM2 was a few months after IM1 in continuity, and Thor and TIH took place at that time. Cap being found is prob just before Avengers. I highly doubt he was unearthed 2 years prior to the film, since his arc will be about adjusting.

Thanks for the confirmation. ;)
The trailer was a little confusing, in that the lighting seems to show Banner entering the shack around sundown.

But you're saying that the green glow wasn't in the NYCC clip at all, just in the trailer? Maybe the trailer-tricksters just wanted to 'Shop it for effect.

Yeah, I'd be willing to bet that the Widow-Hulk scene in India takes place well into the first reel....maybe, say, 20-30 minutes in, or even closer to midpoint. Widow says that the Tesseract is missing, and we know it was in SHIELD's possession at the end of Thor. So the India scene almost *has* to happen after Loki has stolen it from the SHIELD lab.

Might suck for Hulk fans, but it sounds to me like the team is going to evolve very slowly in the movie. Probably starting with Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye only; then as Loki hits the scene, Thor is surely not far behind; and then, after Loki breaks out of prison and steals the Cube, Fury sends Widow after Banner.

I wish we knew when Cap was 'introduced' to the new era, it would help, if only a little.

I loved how Natasha called off all the guards waiting and surrounding the cabin. That was pretty funny.

Cameras weren't confiscated, or at least mine wasn't. They had a security person every couple rows keeping an eye out for any lights.

The footage was pretty cool. No new shots of the Hulk but seeing Banner grab the table and get angry for a split second was great. Really liking Ruffalo and the way he, as he put it, "Ruffalized" Banner.

Tom Hiddleston is also the freaking best. Him singing a few lines of "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka was the highlight of NYCC for me.

Well worth sitting in that theatre for nine hours...I think.

Here's the thing: in the boxing gym scene, we see Steve asking Fury, "Do you have a mission for me, sir?" Not sounding too happy about it, either. So it sounds like he's already working for Fury in some capacity. I'd be willing to bet that he's had at least a few months to sit around and mope and feel sorry for himself and catch up with dead friends and loved ones in the graveyards.

That was pretty awesome. Made me want to go out and watch the movie, haven't seen it in so long.

And how I never noticed the similarities between Tom and Gene, will bother my mind.

There is a section called marvel movie timeline if you are really interested. Myself and many others have come up with various workable timelines. One thing that might help you with when cap woke up in new York is the ad for the stark expo. The stark expo ad is the one from iron man 2 so cap wakes up sometime around the stark expo.

That filmbuffonline timeline is pretty good, but it goes only as far as the Thor movie and leaves out CA:TFA and what we know about the Avengers.

But, going by that timeline, the Stark Expo was in May 2010, and TIH's Canadian cabin scene was in 2010 as well. So that puts the Avengers in 2012 (....duh, I guess), and indicates that Steve has already been in this brave new world for 2 years as well. Judging from the way he calls Fury "sir," and asks if he has a mission for him, he must already be an Avenger, too, or at least a SHIELD agent.

He's definitely at least in an acceptance kind of stage where he's not going berserk on everyone cuz they got touch screen phones, tight jeans, and I don't know, things like flying robots with lazors that go 'pew pew' lol
I'm curious about if they'll show his new love interest, or anyone getting into some kind of relationship too, because that would suck for me. I'm wanting this movie to be action and plot and more plot, no lovey dovey crap to take away from the real focus

I like that it was said that this time around Cap would be a little darker considering the whole aspect that he has next to nothing left but his country.
