the amount of time that is reportedly to have passed since IM2/TIH/Thor events happened in the film timeline... Avengers is reported to be set 2 years after those movies.

So Loki has been trapped in space for 2 years. Can't think of all the plot points, but does 2 years make sense?

I think it was mentioned a couple pages back, but what if Thor 2 and CA2 do end up being set actually before avengers and thats what fills in the 2 year gap? But it can't be IM3 since they said that movie is gonna have important plot points towards Avengers 2

I don't think I would like a chopped up version of all the films together. It would really mess with the flow of the movies individually to me. It sounds cool but i'd probably watch each film fully then the avengers.

On a related note: It's astounding that nobody in the auditorium thought to ask about this 2 year gap since not only is that a big hole in the story but it also doesn't fit with the very tight narrative of the MCU so far. Those fans at the NYCC had the chance to ask Feige about it and nobody did. I know that probably no one realized that what Natasha said was an absolute game changer right after they saw the footage, but c'mon, there were hundreds of fans in the room. SOMEONE must have noticed...

Now that I think about it that scene when Thor fails to get Mjolnir back is pretty sad as it is but even sadder because it's almost like the Earth is crying for him.

CAP and IM probably won't be cut at all, even the first half of IM2 gets unchanged. It really is only the second half of IM2 that gets intercut with both TIH and THOR and as far as I can see, there are points in those movie where those cuts to other movies don't hurt the flow at all. It might be complicated but it CAN work...

Widow and Hawkeye are basically part of the team already, so them first.
Then Cap, cuz hes already in the custody of SHIELD, or Iron Man too cuz of the SHIELD thing too, and then Hulk, and then Thor cuz I dont think Thor will get involved until he sees that Loki is involved

Thor's biggest issue is actually getting to Earth, because of the Bifrost being destroyed. But I'm sure heimdall has already figured out a way for thor to get back and forth, remembering that loki had hidden passages between the realms.
