I'm not entirely familiar with Black Panther, but I must say that the design and the character on itself sounds very promising for a motion picture, in the right hands could turn out a great movie. And I like the name. Sounds powerful.

Black Panther and Namor are the two characters I most want to see next by Marvel Studios. Seeing either Wakanda or Atlantis would be amazing, and considering how well they did with Asgard I'm more than confident they could bring these fantastical realms to the big screen with ease.
I have faith in a BP film. All we need is the right director and cast.
I'm at the point now where I literally feel like Marvel could do pretty much anything and it'd be awesome. Heck, they're even talking about a guardians of the galaxy movie. If THAT'S in the works I think BP is more than doable haha.

A Namor movie would have the potential to be utterly visually amazing on a level not seen in superhero films.

It kills me that Doom and Magneto are locked up with Fox, because the "Four Gods" dynamic with those two along with T'Challa and Namor from the “Sturm und Drang” storyline was SO good and would make for a killer movie.

A superhero movie underwater, my mind is already blown by the sheer awesome thought.

I don't see how it could be any that much more visually amazing than Thor, because they both come from fantasy type worlds.

I'd love to see Namor in a film. Maybe introduced in an Avengers movie and go from there.

I don't know much about BP besides what I see from the EMH's show, but I love the texture/detail Sideshow put in the statue that I would love to see this exact costume in the movie

This costume is probably my favorite Black Panther costume, I definately want to see something very similar in the film (minus the cape).

That costume is awesome. Although, I'd lose the cape as well.

Agreed, and Thor 2 will be even bigger.

Thor 2 comes out on my b-day, I know what i'll be doing to celebrate!

Love that BP costume!

since the talk has evolved to the future of the avengers franchise, i really want hank and janet to show up soon!

my pick for wasp,
Autumn Reeser

and a bit cliche, but maybe nathan f for hank.

i dunno, but yeah, i really agree with most posters that i hope hulk talks more in this film. with the nicknames for each members and such.

No one is slighting Asgard Big Thor. No need to remind someone who's excited to see other amazing landscapes how cool Asgard looked.

Kind of hoping for Wanda and Pietro since they were not mentioned at all in X-Men First Class. At this point I'm not sure who owns the rights.
They're mutants and therefore can't be used. Any mention of mutants won't be used in the MCU.

Rose Byrne or Morena Baccarin for Wasp.

I remember reading about a Namor film from Marvel, several years ago. I think that's another visually innovative film they should do right away, before something else similar comes out (Avatar 2 on the Pandora oceans comes to mind).

Tom Hiddleston is on twitter, @twhiddleston

I didn't say anyone was, it was a simple statement...how it could be all that different.

Seems like I can't say anything about Thor without it being taken the wrong way these days (geez).

going back to the Hancock thing,

Hancock is one of those movies i personally don't look at as a "black superhero".

That movie is what i call a cookie cutter role. ANYONE could play that role, it just happened that Will Smith was black. Nothing about the characters interactions or history denoted anything anything about him being a black male. So anyone could be Hancock as long as they played the dramedy role

(?)
Yeah but... he was black.
And if he was a white actor, there wouldn't be any interactions or history plot points regarding his skin either.

So, let me guess: you think a "black superhero" has to be African or 'hood? One or the other, right?

News flash: there are very few superheroes, period, that "require" a certain race to portray them, other than consistency with pictures in the funny books. There is nothing inherently "white" about Nick Fury, Kingpin, Catwoman or Heimdall, and yet there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth when black actors/actresses applied for those roles. Same with the new black Spider-Man in the comics....nothing about Spidey is inherently "white." (And before you racial purists try to back up the Heimdall argument with, "but...but....he's a VIKING god"....then the same argument needs to apply to Australians, Brits, Welshmen and Americans playing the roles of Norse gods as well.)
