The lack of Salinger and Lundgren depresses me.
Batman was MIA in the comics between Returns and Forever.
Also, Bruce was "dead" after TDK hype...
Not sure where to start. There's definitely a large group here of continued disappointments and it seems that only recently there's been improvements to the genre.
I think its safe to say that '07 was probably the worst year for Marvel adaptations, with '05 coming in second. Not sure where to start. There's definitely a large group here of continued disappointments and it seems that only recently there's been improvements to the genre.
I must go deeper.....
Something to change the beat, that I cooked up here at work. I was just missing that badass Hawkeye shot from the trailer to complete it.

Lookin' back, its still that they've adapted so many of the characters.
how do you kill something that has no life?
How is Avengers 3 going to be made BEFORE Avengers 2?

Doubtful, if you ask me. Espcially considering we just got a trailer, lol.is there going to be a avengers trailer with sherlock holmes 2?
Take away their internet connection and easy access to free porn.

2006 was pretty awful too
Not sure it actually reflects the qualities of the movies but I actually enjoyed Spider-Man 3 less than Ghost Rider and FF2. Probably because I had no expectations at all for the latter two and pretty high ones for SM3 (despite that I find Venom boring). It might very well be different if I watch them all again though but the only one I've seen twice this far is SM3 and it was as bad as the first time, if not worse (which is bad for a movie where you initially were disappointed due to expectations).2006 only had one adaptation & its not the terrible film the fan community makes it out to be.
To the GA, X-Men: The Last Stand is a solid action flick. Elektra, Ghost Rider, Fantastic Four, Rise of The Silver Surfer = TERRIBLE movies. They didn't work for neither the fans or the GA. Spider Man 3 whilst a step down from SM2 wasn't terrible but definitely bloated & a missed opportunity. It still made alotta money though.
Perhaps '05 was worse than '07 because not only were both the Marvel films bad, but they made very little money when compared to WB's [excellent] Batman Begins. Then again, a year where all three Marvel films are critically disappointing... yeah, 2007 takes the cake.
From the sounds of how SM4 was shaping up, it's a good thing Raimi walked.
It's certainly better than this one...And is it just me, or does anyone else ****ing love that shot of Tobey in SM1 in the 2002 column? It's such a great moment when everything else is chaos and Peter is the only one composed and focused.
