So this would my take:
'98 - '02: All pretty solid films that did an excellent job of pioneering the future of CBM adaptations. Blade was probably the most disconnected from anything Marvel has done recently or in the past, but it had the benefit of being first, so it was pretty free to do its own thing. And whereas I'm not a huge fan of Raimi's take on Spider-Man it'd be dumb to say that his movies weren't a success. The stuff he and his team developed for camera work is nothing short of awesome.
'03 - '04: X2 and SM2 definitely take the cake here. Daredevil, I think, had a lot of promise, but it was really hard to figure out what that movie was trying to accomplish. I kind of liked DD and Kingpin's final showdown, but I can't help but wonder what it would of been like if Wilson Fisk was portrayed as he is in the comics. Michael Clark Duncan is awesome and everything, but I'm not sure the change in character was needed. I'd say X2 would be my favorite out of that chunk. Its the only X-Men movie so far that I enjoyed Jackman's Wolverine.
'05 - '07: lol
'08 - '09: 2008 was a definite landmark here. I still feel like that has been the summer movie season to beat. At the time I felt that Marvel Studios could do no wrong, Iron Man was a clear winner and TIH (before the edit) was gorgeous. Perhaps not on the same level as TDK, but at the end of the day I'm perfectly fine with that. They're different characters in different universes and I loved seeing a clear distinction between the two. Punisher never could wow me, and Origins, although the GA would have you believe otherwise, was laughably bad.
'10 - '11: And here we are. I'll still go on record as being one of the few who thought IM2 was a winner. Not on the same level as it's predecessor by any means, but I was immersed in that movie and at no time during the film did I feel that the focus wasn't on Tony. SHIELD was there, of course, but when is SHIELD not there? I was looking forward to seeing their presence in Tony's world and seeing how he dealt with it and I wasn't disappointed. BW would be the only snag that I can see in that film, but even she wasn't that bad. No one can really say she didn't kick arse.
After repeat viewings of both Cap and Thor, I'd have to say that Thor comes out as the better among the two, but that really isn't saying much. I think my feelings have been made pretty clear concerning those two so I won't run that into the ground anymore than it needs to be, suffice it to say that I feel all the elements were there for solid CBM's but they failed to meet the mark. XM:FC however was quite the gem. I think at the end of the day, I was just happy to see an X-Men movie that wasn't about Wolverine. The relationship between Xavier and Erik was brilliantly captured in McAvoy's and Fassbender's performance, and the overall tone and look of the film was just awesome. I still can't get over how cool Magneto was at the beginning of that film. The biggest hang up in that film for me was Emma Frost, but I've never been a fan of her or January Jones for that matter so it wasn't exactly something worth crying over.
2012: I really feel like this is going to be another landmark year, whether for better or worse, but I feel that we'll all be pleasantly surprised in one way or another. I for one could not be more excited for Amazing Spider-Man, I feel like that film can do no wrong at the moment. It's also the clear underdog for next summer which makes me root for it all the more. Avengers has so much potential and I really do feel like Marvel can deliver especially seeing as how this is what they've been working up towards since '08. Time to see if all that build up will pay off. And Ghost Rider? "Oh it's awesome!"

I'll hold off on the future films for now. This has been fun.
