One thing I found dissapointing, is that the existing trailer, at least where I'm at was not attached to Sherlock Holmes, MI4, Tintin...or anything else I saw this holiday. A new trailer is great, but why didn't they use the existing one more. In fact I never saw the existing trailer in the theaters, only online.

I saw it last week with Sherlock Holmes. It was amazing to see the trailer on the big screen.

I just had an interesting thought. Maybe Marvel will debut the trailer with the People's Choice Awards. It's on the 11th of January,

Releasing a trailer with an award show is a good way to generate hype within a different audience.

I am not going to give any credence to any date anyone gives for a trailer release unless it's in an official Marvel announcement. We've had too many false alarms about trailers that didn't pan out in the last month. It long ago stopped being amusing.

IM2 blackout was pretty long and most annoying....since the first trailer in Dec, we didnt get anything till march...

RIM always said that it was being released by Christmas in Russia, which hasn't come yet, so I'm not giving up til that alarm falsifies.

He recently said it's being given to theater owners in Russia on Friday, to be attached to the movies they choose individually. But that only pertains to Russian theaters; there is no release date for the rest of the world and as far as we know there may not be. Presumably, the best we could hope for in coming days would be shaky phone video of the Russian trailer and guesses as to the dialogue. I'm not so trailer-starved that I'm going to get stoked about that.
