I hope the Russians Pirate the mother ****ing **** out of that trailer. If Disney / MARVEL thinks giving the trailer to Russia or other non U.S. Countries first will combat piracy in some way. Think again *******s& I hope Batman kicks The Avengers ass Box Office wise due to Disney & MARVEL's mistreatment of the U.S. fan base. Go Batman

Oh cry me a ****ing river. Where's my tiny violin?

With all due respect to folks from the USA, these movies are made for the World now, and their success is far more dependent on the foreign market than the dwindling US market. Look at this years BO figures. TF3 and POTC4 both made less domestically than their previous installments but crossed the 1 Billion mark because of the foreign market.

The reason movie release dates are staggered is football. Which is what the rest of the world, believe it or not, cares about. 2012 is the year of the European Championship. You want to get butts in cinema seats and not in football stadium seats, you need to release the movies before the first game happens.

That's the reason. No politics, no snubbing of precious US audiences. Just plain and simple economical reasoning.

I'm probably alone in this, but I like the fact that a lot of the details about The Avengers are being kept secret. Too many movies give up everything before they debut, which can spoil the experience. It would be refreshing to walk into the theater on opening night and be truly surprised for once.

Very true. I walked into all three Spidey movies, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2 knowing practically the whole movie, plus the after credits stuff from the Marvel Studios flicks....

Went into Thor and Captain America not knowing too many details and enjoyed the expierience of NOT knowing what to expect so much more. Kind of like back when i was a kid and there was no internet....

I try to limit myself to one trailer, and stay the hell off these forums, but it ain't easy, lol... I'm honestly going to try and not watch the next Avengers trailer.

True. 28 million of POTC4's tally was from Russia. That's a lot of scratch, especially where the bean-counters are concerned.

Let me preface this by saying that Thor's pants will have zero effect on my enjoyment of the movie.

My problem with them is that they're baggy, shiny and plain-looking. Definitely not something I'd expect someone to wear in battle. Granted, they're better than the Thor movie version, but still not my ideal Thor costume. I don't think Hemsworth's legs are big enough to pull off the chainmail look. There's got to be a happy medium that they just haven't hit yet.

I didn't know anything about IM2 beyond what I saw in the trailers (which was too much) and I have to say the feeling I got when I saw the after credits sequence for the first time, revealing THOR's hammer, MJOLNIR, in the crater, was unbelievable!!! All because I didn't know anything about it.

Also, imagine if they had never revealed the IRON MAN suitcase in the trailers and you saw that for the first time on the big screen.

Umm... awesome Cap/Thor movie still is awesome! I didn't even notice Thor's pants being blue or baggy. Maybe I was too distracted by the awesomeness of the pic or something :cwink:

I thought they released the trailer in Russia first b/c the movie will premiere in Russia first...?

Also, count me among the people who don't mind if we don't know who/what Loki's army is made of. I don't even mind if we don't find out until the movie comes out.

This is still my most anticipated movie of 2012.

Just to clear up some things, the Iron Man ad that was posted was not taken in LA, I'm pretty sure it was taken in Mexico City. I took almost the same one.

I'll try to take the Hulk one and another Iron Man one.

Anyway, hyped for the next trailer too.

Anyone confirmed/debunk those Spoilers about "The Redacted" yet?

it was debunked earlier in this thread. I dont think we should get to hyped for a new trailer since we have heard nothing on it. just some still shots and concept art. nothing else

LOVE the Cap & Thor pic, and the Quinjet concept design is awesome!

Now..... a trailer please! :D
