And Cobie Smulders! I feel like this is the first time we've gotten to see her in full on Maria Hill glory! :hrt:
Yeah, about time! :cmad:

She's looking great.

I suppose that's a new BTS pic with Loki probably in the "Hulk cage".
Nice pose lol.

is thats the Hulk cage what is it made out of? Also it looked like the Hulk was in a cage in the last shot of the superbowl teaser

Who the hell is doing these Avengers posters? There hasn't been a badass one yet. They couldn't lure Drew Struzan out of retirement?!

we dont need no stinking sheet!!! what the sheet are you talking about? seriously I hope that pic with Loki is where the bottom of the cage shows how high up in the air that the carrier is

"A one sheet is a specific size (typically 27" x 41" in size before 1985; 27" x 40" in size after 1985) of film poster advertising. Multiple one-sheets are used to assemble larger advertisements, which are referred to by their sheet count, including 24-sheet[1] billboards, and 30-sheet billboards. The term is also used as synonym for the poster artwork itself." - Wikipedia

I've got a feeling from that pic and from other tidbits around the Interblogwebosphere, that the "Helicarrier Breakout" that LEGO immortalizes will involve Loki mind-controlling not just Hawkeye, but Hulk and Black Widow as well. That will leave "The Big Three" to bromance it out and chew up the scenery as they go after those renegade (i.e., "second tier") Avengers.

IF that’s the case, it does make you wonder on why Loki wouldn’t just simply resort to using mind control on everyone else (except for Thor, who I think is immune to that in the comics from what I’ve been told) while he’s aboard the Hellcarrier, let alone for the final battle instead of having to deal with all of them directly.

Hulk would be easy to mind control. Widow and Hawkeye are, too, apparently....because they're lower-tier characters. :cwink: Thor gets a free pass because he's Asgardian and, well, because he knows Loki's tricks. Cap is immune to Loki's jedi mind tricks because he's a muthafriggin' Lvl70 paladin. Tony is apparently immune because he's the only mortal with a bigger ego than Loki's.

Helicarrier Captain : Attention passengers, we will be experiencing some slight turbulance, due to a gamma fueled rage monster hurling large machinery at the Nose god of mischief.

I guess that theoretically makes sense.lol though I hope that they don’t leave it as a plot hole as to why Loki isn’t simply controlling the lesser three of the entire group when the final battle happens. I mean it’s like the same problem that writers would have with using Professor X’s powers effectively in a film without making things too easy simply because of the whole “mind controlling” technique

remember, he is the god of mischief, it would simply be too easy for him to mind control thhem all. He wants to have some twisted sick fun. Turning friends against friend..brother against brother..all while causing as much pain, destruction and mischief he can along the way

Ang's Hulk was done a decade ago. Technology is a tad better now. It's also a still, everything in motion that's been shown in the trailers has looked fantastic. There really isn't much to complain about.

Technology doesn't matter, colour is colour. Like I said, the colour does look perfect in the trailer but it's in a darkened room, in broad daylight I don't want him that sickly lime green colour.

Hulk would be easy to mind control.

If the movie version takes current Hulk characteristics then that Hulk's mind has been shown to be much more impregnable than the past with him overwhelming masters of the mind like Dr strange :P.

True, but I don’t think he’ll be caring about that as much if he thinks he’s about to be defeated since Tom revealed in an interview at the D23 Expo that there was a moment in the film where we supposedly see a defeated Loki looking up towards seeing ALL of the Avengers looking down at him. If he knows he’s defeated, with his army having been beaten, then it would make sense (God of Mischief or not) to employ those powers on them in order to save himself or something instead of being taken captive.

Live Action Avengers Promo Banners :awesome:

Dear Graphic designer, Photoshop's outer glow tool is to be used in moderation unless you want to portray something as actually glowing. :whatever:

well hulk looks abit to baby poo green here, but i know he looks beter in the film itself so it doesnt bug me.

The only real thing that bugs me is caps cowl, BUT seriously thats the only thing that bugs me about this movie, so it could be worse :)
just happy to finally have a live action avengers movie!

BRING ON SUNDAY!

God ... give Cap his ears back!

you make a good point, maybe he will try to use mind control again as a last act of desperation? Id assume if this was the case, thor would stop him before he could again.

Perhaps; and like someone else said…I think the Hulk will be presented as a character who might be a bit more resilient towards being mind controlled than we might give him credit for. I liked on how they had approached the issue in EMH’s, where the Enchantress had tried to manipulate him, and it was working for a brief period before the Hulk eventually snapped himself out of it because of how stubborn he is; something that shocked the Enchantress since she hadn’t expected it to be possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case in The Avengers.

And the bumps you hear are asteroids smashing against the hull of the ship.

Also, we're flying without a navigational system and can't seem to change course.

....We're also out of coffee.

Finally we get decent banners of them in full costume. No RDJ with his head photoshopped on. Steve Rogers still looks like he's playing dress up.

I dunno man .... how could Whedon choose NOT to pay homage to a classic Avengers story line where he mind controls the Hullk? Joss doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to ignore that sort of thing. I for one would like to see it on the big screen.

Stark refers to Hulk as some big weapon of their's when he brags about him to Loki. It would be a waste of a great moment in the film for Loki not to turn their big weapon against them .... even just for a brief moment.

Hulk doesn't have much of a mind to be controlled. He's all id, no intellect.

Hawkeye looks badass!!. And after seeing Ghost Protocol, I can't wait to see Jeremy Renner in this role.
