Didn't some of those circles signify his power in Thor? If he is missing some in the top pic does that mean he is without his power in that scene....possibly Loki has switched places with him in the "cell"?

Yep; knew about that for a year now actually.lol If you look closely at it, it seems like his sleeveless (without the cape) look appears to be the garments that he wears underneath his battle armor look. It appears that the plates for his armor have been mainly detached from his chest and that the only things remaining are the silver linings where the top two circular plates are supposed to be at.

Incorrect. Bendis has done alot of good. I would compare Johns to Joe Quesada.

I present exibit A:

Exibit B:

Name one thing Bendis did good and I'll show you a person with no taste at all.
Bendis is basically the Liefeld of writing. But since this has absolutely nothing to do with the movie, let's not turn this into a Bendis bashing thread.
Also BND was a great storyline, the best they could do after Spidey was f***ed up in One More Day

I want a good explaination on how that cell can hold Hulk, Loki, and even Thor. It just seems odd to me that SHIELD is capable of such thing.

I find it quite odd as well, I hope they have a very good explanation for it in the context of the film.

An earthly government agency is capable of creating a cage strong enough to hold the Hulk and a two guys that come from a race that makes human tech look like caveman stone.

Pffff, yeah right :whatever:

People are too hard on Bendis methinks. Not everything the guy has done is gold but he's managed some good memorable storylines too. No doubt some of the crap can be pinned on editorial mandate too. My 2 cents.

Someone proposed the theory that the cell is partly made of/laced with vibranium which, as shown by the Cap vs Thor shot, is effective against Thor and Mjolnir.

Alias? Loved his Daredevil run.
Also Powers at the beginning (haven't kept up)
But my taste is nil.
And say what you will about Johns, I adored his run on JSA and Avengers.
But both their offerings in recent years have been a bit, Meh.

Ya that was all good Bendis stuff. Ultimate Spidey too.

I also quite liked Johns Avengers run.

Oh, and CHUCK AUSTEN is the LIEFELD of writing.

man speaks truth.

Agreed. Johns's work on JLA and Avengers, as well as Green Lantern, was great.

On the Subject of Thor being Stronger than Hulk...
I always thought he was.
INITIALLY.
Madder equals Stronger is the key here.
And a valid loophole to this "mandate"

I rest my case.

You don't have a case, aside from 'R_Hythlodeus himself doesn't like Bendis'.

And that's fine, yay for you being all cool and edgy, but don't you ****ing dare tell people they have no taste because they feel otherwise. That's horse****.

Thank you. Austen gave me MANY A HEAD SCRATCHING MOMENT IN COMICDOM.
Shulkie sleeps with Juggy?
Brings back Cap Britain...BUT NOT REALLY? (and the stipulation of the powers...)
And the one that I hated the most:
Cap was REALLY frozen by the US Government, because he wouldn't agree to the use of the Atom Bomb. So him and Bucky were sedated, frozen, and given false memories.
NO THANKS.

Or, you know, a person whose tastes simply differ from yours.

How this concept continually manages to elude people is baffling.

Wait, you mean my own personal taste is not an absolute? Are you sure? AB taught me different things.

I'm neither cool nor edgy, that's why I have a problem with Bendis I guess. But yeah, I posted a personal opinion as fact, because I couldn't be bothered to elaborate why Bendis work, in my opinion, isn't good at all, mostly because I type on my Android, which is a big pain in the ash, but my laptop broke last month and I want to keep my posts as simple as possible, but, whatever.

USM? Still a big pile of crabs, almost as bad as Bendisvengers.

Also, this has nothing to do with the movie at all.

I'd like to point out that, in 5 Days, the new Avengers trailer has almost gotten as many views as the second TDKR trailer.

Avengers: 12,936,702 views
TDKR: 14,539,699 views since December

It's also gotten more likes on youtube:

TDKR trailer: 50,124 likes, 1,156 dislikes

Avengers: 71,668 likes, 1,899 dislikes

Perhaps maybe Avengers making a billion isn't as farfetched as Batfans think it will be.
