I like that coexist thing lol. Cool how it uses symbols from only major heroes.

it's def either Thor calling down a huge lightning strike or IM unibeam that has cause all the damage there (as seen in the shot of all three standing together) And why is Thor without his chainmail in that battle?

I rest my case.

The first few arcs of USM were miles better then anything written in 616 at the time. And some of the better arcs of Spider-man period. Also some of the best characterization of Kingpin and Doc Ock (pre Ockneteo) that I've read.

Now, it ended up going pretty far downhill, but the early arcs were quite good. And I'd take them over "Mephisto the magical marriage wrecker" storyline any day.

btw...i believe that widow is def gonna use here widow bite in avengers....saw an image of her pointing her fists forward with no gun....looks silly unless she is using the wrist weapons

Hey so before we was discussing if The suit Tony is wearing when he is caught by the Hulk and when he enters the group money shot were different or the same. I was wondering if anyone realize the suit he was wearing when he was caught by the Hulk is not as bulky as the one in the group money shot sequence.

What do you guys think? I'm thinking the Hulk catches Iron Man a lil bit earlier. That catch might not be during the final fight or battle. Just my thoughts

but it definitely is the same scene from that fight in the woods...(you can see wood chips flying everywhere in that shot)...i'm thinking it's from stark's unibeam

Yeah it's from the same fight scene just not the exact same scene, oh and Iron Man's unibeam is yellow not blue but like I said below we haven't seen him use the unibeam in his Mark 6 suit (triangle chest piece).

Yeah I'm leaning towards Thor calling down lightning being the cause of damage to area of the scene in the "Big Three" shot, because we haven't seen IM's unibeam do anything that destructive in the MCU.

Well to be fair IM hasn't used the unibeam in his Mark 6 armor yet though, so it might actually be powerful enough to cause a large area of damage.

It does look like Hulk will be not only a scene stealer, but the most heart warming character next to Captain America. We see him save IM, but he also shields BW, something we see CA do as well. I feel this movie is going to have a lot of heart.

Actually, from the color it looks a lot like the portal in the big fight in NYC and the shockwave seen at the SHIELD facility as the chopper flies away. So maybe that scene is when Thor gets brought to Earth--he's basically getting popped out of a portal/wormhole thing?
Mytheory is that he gets thrown to Earth in the middle of the woods, sees Captain America, for whatever reason attack him/ whatever and Iron Man gets into the fight, throwing Thor thru a tree. (as I think a lot of people have postulated already, natch)

You may have missed it, but a few days ago it was deduced that the scene of Thor being sent flying by a blue flash isn't that same scene as the shot where he strikes Cap's shield with Mjolnir.

Yeah there was a heated sparkle effect when those discs were removed but I don't think it has anything to do with Thor's power. Oh and I agree, Hopkins was great in THOR and I hope there's a scene in THOR II where Odin is able to show just how powerful he is.

wat exactly was deduced from the thor falling back?

bulky? the only difference i noticed was the color of the suit

when did hulk shield widow?
seems like i am missing a lot..

It's an interpretation of the scene with Widow running ahead of Hulk with a bunch of explosions following them. Some think Widow is running from Hulk, who is pursuing and thus causing the explosions; others think she's running from the explosions, with Hulk putting himself between her and the exploding corridor to protect or shield her.

The Suit he is wearing when he is flying up towards the portal has extra repulsers on the back... when he gets caught by the Hulk it didn't look that suit had those.

It was deduced that the scene where Thor was flying back isn't happening due too Mjolnir's collision with Cap's shield, because it's a completely different shot edited together to seem like the same scene.

i though it was obvious that widow was running from hulk...
since hulk rampages through the hellicarrier...
anyway thats my take...

but the tree barks floating seems too much for ironman's unibeam...

I missed about 9 pages because of work..so here he goo haha.

Sorry to bring something up from the old thread, but I saw this and wanted to respond (since no one else has):

Whether he can pull it off in this one or not, I don't know. But -- and I realize I might be in the minority -- it kind of bother's me that he's voicing Hulk again. I understand why they've had him voicing him in the previous films, it's a nod to him and his previous work with Hulk, but I'm sorry - we're at the point technology wise where i don't see the point of NOT having Ruffalo voicing the Hulk as well.

I mean, he's portraying every other aspect of Hulk (playing Banner, did some (if not a large chunk) of the motion-capture work - save for whatever they might've used a stunt-man for). Why can't he voice the Hulk as well and tweak it in post production to make the voice fit the look?

Sorry... just a very minor (and possibly the only) thing that's actually bugging me about Avengers.

I would like that, but I think ferrigno has the perfect voice for the hulk, its almost ritual.
Agreed. In essence, Lou Ferrigno has been the Hulk in every live action adaptation (as well as one cartoon) and I'm fine with that.

Good lord what is that? Abomination would be a compliment, this is disgusting. His chest is huge, and also, this is a side angle, yet you can see almost all his abs, and more than his right pec. This picture is a disgrace to comic art.
That doesn't make sense since Thor is a great deal more powerful than Loki, don't you mean "if that cell can hold Hulk, it can surely hold Thor"?

Exactly

I wish everyone would grow up...STOP THE DC/MARVEL FLAME WAR NOW!!!

Continued flaming from here on out of any poster in this Marvel/DC flame war results in infractions...no mercy!

We lost recess guys, lets not force the issue

Well, there is no cut scene in between those two events, so as far as I am concerned, it is the same scene, same suit.

also the way thor falls back just doesnt seem right for an Ironman unibeam or repulsor....
If he was attacked by Ironman then he would have shot himself away rather than just bouncing back falling....

Yeah and as a Thor fan it's nice seeing his symbol right up there alongside "big boys" like Spidey and Supes it's been a long time coming.

:thor: :thor: :thor:

i just noticed that the scene at the end where ironman flies about and get hit but then is caught by hulk is actually to separate scenes...if u watch the trailer frame by frame ironman actually holds up in the air...

i though it was obvious that widow was running from hulk...

Why on earth would Hulk attack lil ol' Widow?
There's a lot of "Hulk Vs." fights people want to see --- Thor and Iron Man probably leading the list --- but I seriously doubt Widow ever made *anybody's* list of "superheroes I want to see Hulk beat up."

i am not saying hulk literally fights widow...u can clearly see the hulk is running rather than covering for widow in the trailer, if u watch it frame by frame..... it is confirmed that hulk does some havok inside the hellicarrier maybe widow tries to stop and thor intervenes...

Now you've got me wondering how audiences would react to a scene where Hulk beat the **** out of Black Widow

I don't think they'd take kindly to it

That would mean the death of Black Widow btw, it wouldn't just be a "beat down".

I personally can't wait on how the first confrontation between the Hulk and Thor is like in the Hellcarrier. I hope that their exchange of words is something similar to how they did it in EMH's.
