Terrible.

We still haven't seen that scene within the context of the film so we don't know if that's really what Cap was talking about.
We know enough about Cap's character to know that's exactly what he was talking about. Especially since we know Tony's "you're nothing but a lab experiment" line is from that same scene, and Tony's response to Cap's line. It's pretty obvious, imo.

I just saw the Avengers superbowl spot while flipping through the channels, I think it was on Cartoon Network.

Randomly turned the channel, caught the latest trailer on VH1. Got me excited all over again! (haven't seen it in a while):cwink:

Again, Rogers was talking about his strength of character, not abilities. The equivalent of "what kind of man are you?" Clearly in the scene leading up to that, Stark was proving himself to be quite the egotistical a-hole we all know he can be, and Rogers was calling him out on it.

Take away the serum, and Captain America is still a great man who cares about others, treats them with respect, and is willing to die for what he believes in. Take away Iron Man's armor, and you have, well, Tony Stark. Obviously, Tony is gonna prove himself to be just as heroic to Steve over the course of the film, but as far as first impressions go, Steve is (rightfully) less than impressed.

Well said!

I just turned on my t.v and put on Nick. Hopefully I get to see the t.v spot. :wow:

I think Tony Stark gets injured in an obligatory outside-of-his-suit heroic act and gets Steve's respect at the end.

The injury also leads into Iron Man 3, with Tony wanting to improve himself

Why does Widow need pistols when she has cosmic cube powered wrist blasters?

Comedy central is airing the episode of southpark where the kids are waiting every comercial break for the terence and phillip movie trailer. Then they ***** every time the comercials come and go witbout showing it. And say tbey are gonna make us wait until the last break. And then during the last break showed the.whole Avengers trailer. Very clever

Oh ****, they just showed the "we have a Hulk" promo on the Bulls/Knicks game.

Just saw the Super Bowl trailer on ESPN during the Bulls and Knicks game. Cool to see it starting to pop up.

Terry beat me to it.

Man why did Whedon have to take 45 minutes off it? 3 hours would have been perfect :(

to sell more DVDs (Director's cut)

Idk; I mean he said that he doesn't plan on releasing a "extended cut" since he supposedly believes that the theatrical cut IS the "Director's cut", along with it being what he feels is the best cut that audiences could see.

It's annoying that people are pissed he cut out 45 minutes and are calling for a directors cut even though he said that the theatrical cut is the director's cut.

Studios aren't the only people that want scenes from movies. It's like some people are surprised when directors actually cut scenes from movies.

Because The Avengers should be an epically long film.

I just saw the entire new trailer on USA a few minutes ago, so that means I just saw the TV spot and a full trailer on tv in the last 40 minutes.
