Wow, I read through four pages of a fat debate on an Avengers thread. Well done guys :whatever:

I prefer Thor's sleeveless look, I hope this is the one we get through most of the movie.

I like both looks. :woot: Don't mind either way. :yay:

one interesting thing is that part of the movie was filmed at the abandoned Chevy plant in Cleveland that my late Uncle worked at years ago. I wonder of that woman who got the special treatment from Whedon and the whole cast(real class thing to do by the way) was one of the people camped out across the street from the plant during the filming.

On a different note I went to Target yesterday to see an play with the Avengers toys(yes I am an adult but a big kid too). the figures say about 7 different things and Cap does say "Avengers Assemble!" I was at a mall yesterday too and walked past the Disney store but did not go in. Last time I did there was not much Marvel stuff and IMO since Disney owns Marvel there should be Avengers and other Marvel character related merchandise along with all the Disney related character stuff.

Is the production budget for this movie really 300 million? Or does that figure include the distribution and promotion costs?

Disney Released "fun facts"...

cool, bits that stood out for me:

* To play expert archer Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner received training from Olympic archers on how to use a bow properly.

I bet this'll shut up whoever it was who was complaining about that. :hehe: also good to know he had proffesional training!

* The famous battle cry in the comic book, "Avengers Assemble!" is a call to arms for members of the team to fight "the foes no single superhero can withstand." During production, Chris Evans (Captain America) borrowed the famous command to gather up his fellow cast members when he sent out text messages to them to come together for a night on the town in Albuquerque after a long, hard week of work on the production.

:hehe:

* The film's second unit shot a chase sequence in Worthington, Pennsylvania, at Creekside Mushroom LTD, the former home to World Famous Moonlight® brand Mushrooms. Creekside was the world's largest mushroom-growing facility and the only underground mushroom farm in the United States. For the production, shooting at the facility meant gaining access to the 150 miles of tunnels 300 feet below the ground. Without power, prepping the tunnels for the chase sequences that involved Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) took months -- but it all paid off with spectacular results.

:wow: This sounds awesome one so many proportions, underground fight perhaps? yes please!

* The production design was so convincing that rumors circulated about new stores opening on the street.

:funny:

* Despite being a secure location that only cast and crew members could access, one fan's persistence caught the eye of "The Avengers" cast and crew at the Airpark set in Wilmington, Ohio, when she made a big poster-board sign welcoming the cast to the city and requesting that the actors autograph a T-shirt that was in a bag. The sign was such a hit with the company that they passed it to the set. Filmmakers were able to contact the fan and she was given a tour of the set, an "Avengers" crew hat, a meet and greet with director Joss Whedon and, of course, the cast's autographs on the T-shirt she had placed by the sign. It truly was a day to remember for one lifelong Marvel fan.

Me jealous. but awww nice to know they treat there fans well!

BTW, not to start a riot or anything, but I wouldn't go by who's in IM3 from [Feature Film Casting]. They were the ones who included the alien-kree synopsis, in addition to listing Don Cheadle as apart of The Avengers cast. The casting call info is accurate, just not the cast lists and synopses.

What makes anyone so sure that any of the Avengers are going to die? I am not even sure Coulson will die (as was rumored at one time), or even Maria Hill. These are Marvel's characters so it's not like Whedon was allowed to do whatever he wanted with them, like he could do on his TV shows with characters he created.

I LOVE that picture of Cap frozen in ice.

It also feels good to finally be seeing Iron Man flying in between NYC skyscrapers like he's supposed to be.

Got to be honest. The shots of Cap with the helmet/cowl off and shots from the side with the helmet/cowl on look BOSS. The only problem are the shots from the front. They make him look like a Duffus.

That's one mean ass cupcake. It *looks like It'll SMASH your taste buds.

"Hulk Cupcake SMASH taste buds. Teeth Leave Hulk Cupcake alone"

Would you say that generally?

I think it's only that one shot on these cards. In the trailer scene with him, HAWKEYE, and BLACK WIDOW walking towards the camera it looks fine.

Coulson has been taken off the "To Die" list, as both Clark Gregg and Whedon said that he doesn't die when pointedly asked in interviews. They could have been lying, of course, but Coulson is appearing in other Marvel properties so it's unlikely that the studio would allow Whedon to kill him off.

When a reporter asked Whedon whether he had killed off Coulson, who has become a fan favorite, he said, "Yeah, I've been known to do that." Maybe he ought to consider the fact that he's so prone to killing characters "shockingly" that its less a shock than an expectation for viewers now. People are looking for the redshirt in every Whedon production.

I am sure there will be redshirts in the movie. They will probably be nameless Shield Agents and military/cops that get taken out during the Invasion. I have a feeling our main cast members are safe.
