I agree, nice to see many new faces here.![]()
I don't think they went as far to use metal detectors for the DKR prologue thing though.I don't know whether that was the same in London and Dublin. Plus, security was extremely tight with the TDKR prologue and there were tons of bootlegs for that.
So...finally cracked and made an account here and stop lurking
But damn I had no idea that it´d be possible to be this excited for a movie... I was honestly expecting this to be a good popcornflick but meanwhile it seems that I will be taught a lesson on that thought... sure hope so^^
And on a different note, thanks for this mostly troll-free forum
It´s an opportunity to talk to people that are just as excited as oneself
And sorry if this was brought up somewhere and I didn´t catch it, but.. how exactly is an earlier release in europe avoiding the bootlegging of a movie? (Think I read that somewhere that it is the reason for the earlier release) Or how is that a means against piracy?
Due to it being released overseas before over here, you already know some moron is gonna try and hawk a pirated version this month.
Welcome aboard SimiOfDoom. The more fans of THE AVENGERS here the better.
About the whole bootleg issue - at what level is it at all ok (I realize it's all illegal but I'm speaking ethically here)?
Say, for example, you go and pay to watch the movie at the cinema (sometimes once, twice or even more) and then buy the movie on DVD/Blu-Ray but you want to watch the movie again [at home] in the months between. Is watching an on-line bootleg then kosher as no one is being shafted seeing as you've already/are about to pay money to the studio to watch it. As long as your actions dont stop anyone else from paying good money to see the movie [thus depriving the studio and the cinema of what is rightfully their due payment], then whats the problem (devils advocate here)?
Im an Avengers fan and no one welcomed me.
On a different note I loved all I read in the twitter posts from the UK premiere. Did the US premiere this past wednesday take place in New York or Hollywood. My anticipation level for this film is unlike anything I have ever felt for any movie before. I have been an Avengers fan for a very, very long time and this movie - a movie I thought would NEVER happen- is a dream come true for me.
Speaking as a man,I don't much like her as a character personality in the comics but I have no problems with how she was portrayed in the movie. Why does being tough mean acting like a man?![]()

Well, we cant break into jewelry stores to look at that necklace we are going to buy.I think it's always a hazy gray area. I have no problem with your scenario.
But there are lots of people who just download the movie online and never make a financial contribution to the movie.
Didn't Thor and Captain America come with digital copies you could download?
