Kevin Feige is the front runner to head Disney right now. Money on that.

Whether he'll take the offer or not is another story.

Interesting. I don't see how it'll effect Feige or Marvel though, considering Avengers will probably go on to make near enough a billion at the box office. Money talks.

Think of it this way. What if they replace this Rich Ross guy with someone who sees that Marvel's movies has a lot of potential and they deices to play a bigger roll in what marvel does. Under Rich Ross they allowed marvel to do there own thing. Under with someone else they may pull a power play and try be more like Wanner Bros. and DC. They already cannibalised Marvel marketing team.

I doubt any Walt Disney Studio head with stifle Marvel Studios as they are a big boost to Disney. In fact I think Marvel would get more freedom under a new boss.

Marvel has it's own infrastructure that I doubt they will mess with.

It's getting better and better:

Guy Pearce in talks for 'Iron Man 3'
Guy Pearce is in final talks to join Marvel Studios and Disney's "Iron Man 3" as the geneticist Aldrich Killian. Shane Black is helming the film, that brings back Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Iron Man, along with Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Scarlett Johansson also set to return to the franchise. Ben Kingsley is set to play the villain. Plot will borrow elements from Warren Ellis' six-issue "Iron Man: Extremis" comicbooks, that also heavily influenced the first "Iron Man" pic, and focuses heavily on the spread of a virus through nanotechnology. In the books, Killian co-created the Extremis technology that Iron Man adopts after Killian sells it to terrorists. Production on the film begins in May, with lensing to take place around North Carolina.

This is interesting news indeed. I agree I'd be happy if Kevin took over, for all he's done in bringing these movies to life he definately earns it imo.

Glad they seem to be adapting Extremis. That would be incredible to see onscreen, and I prefer it to the Mandarin, tbh.

IM3 keeps sounding better and better by the day. Guy Pearce is just tops.

I'm very exited too Raiden. They couldn't of picked a better storyline to adapt.

Man there is so much Avengers love going down on the tv right now. They are not playing with all the marketing right now. I don't think I have seen a commercial break w/o either a tv spot for the movie or one of the hundreds of tie-ins for several days haha. This movie is going to make so much bank

Yeah, one german tv channel actually incorporates trailer stuff from the avengers into their normal programm (like when advertising breaks start, etc)
Glad to see that Avengers gets so much love.

****, Guy Pierce is awesome. Can't wait to see who he's playing.

I pushed for him for Taskmaster in one of the old casting threads.

He's playing Aldrich Killian.

That doesn't help. I probably should have read the article.

edit: Ok, from Extremis, not read that either. Yet.

Extremis is the storyline where Stark sort of has the Iron Man armor in his body and it seeps through his pores, correct?

Also, has anyone else noticed that The Avengers is holding a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes right now? 22 reviews and only one rotten, calling it Transformers from Asgard lol.

I think Hulk works better on a team than Spidey because he kinda longs to be accepted. That's part of his character. He longs to be viewed as more than a monster.

Spidey? I see him as a hero who helps the "little guy" out on the street. Like Daredevil. I don't think it's in his character to be a permanent fixture on a super team. No matter what Bendis tries to say.

Who is Rich Ross and what is this news?
I agree with all of that but also Spidey would step up if he was really needed. I don't think he should ever be a permanent member of the team though.

More or less. If that's the definite route they're going to take, I cannot WAIT to see the armor-up sequence in live action.

Peace is a great addition, but I'm a little bit disappointed he has a small role like Dr. Killian.

I just checked out extremis on netflix the other day and I think that will make a really good flick. I wonder who would play Mallen though, doesn't really seem to fit Ben Kingsley IMO but I guess they could work some Hollywood magic
