I'm looking at Kang and Immortus and the Crosstime Army in the Eternity War in "Avengers Forever" and wondering how the hell that is "essentially the same third act" as a Chitauri invasion.

I don't think the [Redacted] have a massive time-traveling battleship shaped like a sword either. Nor do they bring cowboys into the equation. Yee-HAW!

Posters should have the common sense in the first place so not to refer to Batman films when talking about The Avengers.
Which Is why I'm WARNING you guys now. TRY to keep these threads AVENGERS related!!!

Which is a shame, because there are probably a lot of valid references or comparisons to be made. Though knowing how it always end up it's safer just to not mention it. It's one of those "this is why we can't have nice things" situations.

btw infernal, youve prboably heard this many times, but I LOVE your sig, and I would hate for that to happen too.

No, you're actually the first. Still, thanks for that. Nice Loki av by the way. :cwink:

I know, but we're not even entirely free of that sort of nonsense already. How many times do we have to hear from posters stating Thor and Cap didn't do IM1 numbers at the box office? Not naming names [BLACKOUT]Beetlejuice...[/BLACKOUT] lol.

I just found that Farmer/Avengers funny tho in a way JJJ directing the Avengers. lol

[BLACKOUT]Beetlejuice[/BLACKOUT] Yeah but still Thor and Cap did better than many expected.

Yeah, that was funny seeing Simmons and those people with the slapdash Avengers costumes.

To me they could arguably be better films. At least the heart of their stories anyway. I wouldn't say they topped RDJ's acting, but for overall experience at the cinema I was more impressed by those films. Though perhaps that has some to do with just pulling off a good take on those properties.

[BLACKOUT]By the way you realise the third mention of..... *ahem* equals an instant thread derailment?[/BLACKOUT] lol

I'd say Evans topped RDJs acting. Evans performance was sensational really. That character could have been remarkably corny and overly self righteous, but he nailed it.

Preemptive ban for all the Marvel Vs DC idiots? :yay:

I still hope SOMEDAY we see that first Thor Draft as a film. THAT is just an awesome story, and I can see a version of it as a Thor 3 with some minor changes.

[BLACKOUT]hehe yeah it does tend to happen even without a 3rd time.lol[/BLACKOUT]

I don't care if they keep it to a thread for that but not in here. I'm telling you we're going to probaly ban alot of people lol

Can you ban people who spend 10 pages in an Avengers critic's review thread talking about their psychotic hatred of Kevin Feige?

That would be interesting. I didn't really follow it too closely, but I'm aware that it was more or less all in Asgard and probably more to Brannagh's liking in terms of tone.

I love what Evans did and following TFA here on the boards etc, I really got the impression he really invested in the part. But I think that when it comes to the next generation taking on the roles that it will be RDJ who will have stood out more for his part.

Beetlejuice ?

Here's a cookie. Thanks for playing. :cwink:

Also, bizarrely Beetlejuice is on tv in an hour. How's that for coincidence? Ch5 in the UK if there's any other Brits interested.

I think RDJ stands out because Stark is a more charismatic, in your face character. But i think Evans' actual performance was the best of the Marvel leads so far. And one of the best lead performances in any comic book movie. He did a lot of acting with his eyes and facial expressions, which i love to see.

hahahaha that IS a great signature isn't it?

Indeed it is! :woot:

Your welcome and thanks, your the first to comment on it too :woot:

I agree with this. I think mainly the beggining of the first and the whole third act just needs better pacing, the last part was just really rushed and i think that mainly due to them not wanting to run over screentime. Thor however, the only problems I have with that is I wish a few of the deleted scenes were in the theatrical cut, and Thor was on earth longer. Otherwise it's a stellar film and by far my fav from the MCU so far. :woot:

talking of which I'm going to watch the blu-ray with commentary right now :woot:
