And awesome, spectacular designs. Love getting surprises with these things. The only two things that could hype me more at this point are a group shot, then a trailer but there's plenty of time for those especially now that this is out.

I dont really see where the logic of the Hulkbuster armor fails... would you rather, say, toss these tiny pebbles at the Hulk? Or would you rather launch a big ****ing boulder at him?

I'd go with the boulder.

the logic of it is fine. It just seems gimmicky to me. With the rest of the Avengers, Hulkbuster armor seems unncecessary. I think people just want to see a big robot fight a big monster, which just doesn't appeal to me that much.

I never cared for it in the comics, so I'm glad it isn't gonna be in the movie.

A lot of Iron Man's armours are quite gimmicky. You have ones for stealth, space, underwater etc. It's just that Hulkbuster armour is arguably the best one.

If The Avengers vs. a Loki controlled Hulk isn't going to be the main storyline of the movie (and by all reports, it won't be), I doubt the filmmakers would want to spend the money needed to bring the Hulkbuster to the screen.

Its a suit he built so that he could try to match the hulks strength level and take him down on his own terms. Nothing weird about that

Anthony Stark will have... two armors in The Avengers movie. Let's take a look at them, shall we?

1) Mark VII - Basically, it is the upgraded version of Mark VI armor from Iron Man 2. Triangle chestplate is still there, the armor is more fast & streamlined. Cool gizmos included)

2) Mark VIII - It's the armor, that you all saw on that promo poster) Can't tell you more, since Marvel's been keeping this hot rod a secret for some time, but you'll see what it's capable of soon enough.

It was obvious that there would be a Mark VII and a Mark VIII after seeing this poster, but...no Hulkbuster????

I wouldn't have minded an updated Cap costume. Some of the concept designs in the Thor concept artbook were freaking amazing and would still be so in a future movie at some point.

I agree. I still wish they would give him one of the more "tunic" type designs with the cloth extending below the belt. I remember one in particular looking bad***.

I don't like the strappy things on Cap's legs, or the random white strip on his shoulder. Is it supposed to be like a soldier's rank thing?

but I'm digging the wings and the exposed ears, something I wanted for his solo movie. and the shield looks like it's actually a white circle instead of the mostly silver one we've seen for First Avenger, which I like.

My thought's exactly. Oh and I looked it up and I don't think the stripe represents rank. It reminds of of the guy who was annoyed at Thor's silver stripe around his thigh. It's like what they hell is it there for?
