There would also be the added pain of editing it together with the existing footage. The film releases in the UK in less than 13 days. Let's say it's going to be shown on...500 screens. That means they would have to film it, edit the shots and sounds, score it, then attach it to the existing footage, print it, and then ship it across from California to England. All within 13 days, and two of those are Sundays when shipping companies don't run. And, that's not even allowing any time for the theater to get the cans, open them up, piece the film together, and test it. For the domestic release you would get 20 days but, that's still pushing it.
I think RDJ and Ruffalo were messing with us.
Man I just spent a few hours reading every single post for 26 pages to catch up on brosef's spoilers! Love this site and love these spoilers!
The theater I used to work at, Regal Cinemas, used DHL. Even still, very, very tight time frame. I'd agree more with cherokeesam. If they are doing this, it would be more likely that it's for the Blu-Ray. Joss has taken the time he needed to get everything right for this film. I doubt he would rush this just to take it on at the last second.since its being shot digitally it should take them no time to edit the footage depending on what they are shooting, they already have music from the movie so they can add that to the cut during the editing process, print them out and then probably ship them...studios use special shipping companies for movies(who don't believe in sunday)...it can be done
Somebody told me that Betty White is playing present day Peggy Carter. Confirm?
I'd rather Judi Dench play her instead.
Any well known actress playing an older Peggy would be stupid IMO.
Nolan basically uses the comics for the characters and his movies are really just crime dramas.
Yeah because putting Hayley Atwell through hours of aging prosthetics/make-up with cgi enhancements for what amounts to a cameo is a much better idea.![]()
No one says avengers assemble?

Maybe so. But that sucks. Its pretty important. Oh wellI wonder if it's more of an implied thing...Like the "Fast Ball Special" in Whedon's Initial Astonishing X-Men run.
Well yeah, but it doesn't even have to be that. If it's only gonna be a cameo, why make it a well known actress? If I see Judi Dench play Peggy for 10 seconds I'll see her as Judi Dench. If it's an actress I don't know, I see it as an old version of Peggy.
I didn't say she was gonna be on for 10secs. If Old Peggy is gonna be in a movie, it's probably gonna be emotional and she's probably gonna have dialogue with Steve. I'd rather get a well known actress for that.
That'd be kinda silly. It's kinda like: Oh look, Peggy grew old to look like Betty White or Judi Dench. It'd be better using prosthetics (which these days aren't too much of a hassle) or an unknown actress. And I think most people will agree.
