The Avengers The Avengers Post Screening Review & Discussion Thread (SPOILER FILLED) - Part 3

Can anyone answer these two questions?

1) What's the story behind the new Iron Man armor?
2) What's with the bracelet Tony puts on during the "We have a Hulk" scene?
[blackout]#2 is the answer to #1.[/blackout]

Coulson becoming Vision ain't comic origin accurate But I feel it can fit for the MCU,Vision has been an Avenger and Tony has worked on him for the team and so IF that new added scene rumor is true..It wouldn't be totally 100% way off!

Plus Gregg/Coulson fans get to have him back in some way and it'd good for Gregg cause he gets more work as an extension to that character and gets to be part of the team in Avengers 2 than just a SHIELD agent!

If Coulson is to ever become Vision it should be due to Ultron, maybe as a way for Ultron to mess with the Avengers emotions?

IMO

Ironman 10
Hulk 10
Loki 8
Widow 7
Thor 7
Capt America 6
Hawk Eye 7
Fury 8
Coulson 7

I'd bump Thor up to a 8

and Cap was a 9 to me.

Cap was my favorite Avenger this time around(I'm normally a Hulk stan). As I said before, I expected the least out of Chris Evans/Cap and ended up getting the most.

He felt more like Cap in the Avengers than he did in TFA IMO.He kicked some serious azz in that final battle

One thing I know for sure is that Son of Coul isn't actually dead. He will come back somehow, in some form.

Who knows. Popular characters NEVER stay dead. Its just how the genre works.

I hope you're right.

...soooo what's the answer to #2? :P

Said this earlier and I'll re-post it again:

Oh dude, one of the best scenes in the movie. So the bracelets are magnets meant for the Mark VII to get to Tony when he needs it. So after Loki throws Stark out of the window, he tells JARVIS to deploy the armor, and it shoots out of the window, breaks apart and assembles itself onto Tony as he's falling.

Y'all should really wait for the movie to see that one. But if you REALLY want to be spoiled....

It's a suit that flies TO those bracelets and assembles around Tony wherever he is. So, say if Loki throws Tony out a window, for example, the suit will fly itself out and save him.

I don't really mind Coulson being dead and staying dead, it's not that big of a deal to me. :whatever:

I agree and havingt Stark and Banner doing weird experiments on his corpse just doesn't sit right with me

That sounds amazing!

But...is there any explanation of why the new suit goes back to the circle on the chest? Is the design just easier that way or something?

My idea of how this should go down. (if they go that route) For Vision

Maybe Ultron is already in existence during the second part. After Coulson's death, his body was handed over to the Pyms and they had Ultron try to save him. So Ultron reprograms him evil (vision), then towards the end Coulson regains consciousness/ memory and he is now in control and can serve as an avenger for the third movie.

No.

No explanation of that. I think Joss gave us the explanation already: "The triangle is a**." :woot:

Lol, I guess that's a good enough explanation, haha. I mean, all the work Jon went through to have that storyline in Iron Man 2, I was hoping for some kind of explanation for the change besides the triangle being ass.

There is precedent for it in The Avengers comic book. Way back in The Avengers Vol. 1 #9, Simon Williams was given powers by Baron Zemo and became Wonder Man. Williams turned on Zemo and later died because the treatments Zemo used on him poisoned him. Hank Pym recorded Williams' brain patterns and stored them. Later on those patterns, with traces of Williams' personality, were used by Ultron in the creation of Thve Vision.

I'm not saying that's what happened with Coulson, but it has been done before.

speaking of spoilers when do you think there will be bootleg copy of the avengers available ..(im allowed to ask that right?)

Maybe it's revealed
the Coulson which died
is a Skrull? o_O

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't watch a bootleg. I just want an early screening here! But that won't happen. :(

Well good luck finding it man, but I think THIS is worth holding out for.

Could someone please tell me what attacks both thor and the hulk use on eachother in their fight? (Lightning, tornado, hammer, fists, etc.) And which of those cause the most damage to eachother during the fight? Thanks

For whatevers its worth...

There was a screening this morning here in Madrid, Spain. It was a special fan event; you had to send a reservation e-mail to Disney Spain till limit 11 april; there were only 200 reserves to be made. There were also other reservations you could make via Facebook. Total, i guess it was around 600 reservations available trough diferent social networks. One condition: you had to come dressed as an Avenger in order to get in. It was a free screening. Unfortunately, i couldn atend, but acording to reports, a video played before the movie started, with Evans greeting the spanish fans lamenting that the actors couldnt be there, enjoy the movie as much as we enjoyed making it and so forth...

As you can imagine, this was a purely fanboys and girls event, no press.

The few reactions i have gatherd are pretty much the same around; awsemoe, epic, wonderfully directd and written, even if you have seen al trailers and clips you havent seen anything, best superheroe movie ever, far better than the trailers seemed to foreshadow (there has been a lot of this), no words to describe it, nailed it... But, you know... in spanish.

Aparently there were cheers an aplause aplenty. It was in 2d, so no coments about 3d, and it was, fotunately, subbed, nod dubbed.

Kinda the exact same thing everybody is saying, just, you know, coming from another language and culture.

I was there, and I can say that the film was even better than I expected.
And the crowd went crazy during some of the coolest moments of the film and they laughed a LOT with the jokes. You usually don´t see a crowd like that in here...
And btw, you didn´t have to go in costume. But if you were dressed as one of the characters you didn´t need to have a pass or anything.

Sorry you missed that!
