Yeah, they had a "making-of" over filming the movies back to back before the movies came out, and of course, you saw things on ET and magazines. And I'm pretty sure I remember seeing posters for the third going in to see part 2.

And BTTF 3 was released in a post-Star Wars trilogy, post-Indiana Jones trilogy world too. It's not like general audiences were unfamiliar with trilogies and part 2s with cliffhanger endings (I'm thinking mainly of TESB).

Watched the first one for the first time in years the other day. Man that film is still so awesome. After all these years the finale with the clock tower is still tense. When Doc was trying to connect the cables as Marty was driving up to 88mph i found myself screaming at the screen "COME ON DOC!!!"

Yeah, that is really the only scene left in movies where no matter how many times I've seen it, I am on the edge of my seat. I still don't think Doc is gonna make it each time.

Indiana Jones never had a cliffhanger and were all separate stories likes James Bond. Only Star Wars was a true trilogy up to that point. Audiences weren't familiar as they are now.

Anyway, whatever you guys want to believe is fine. Even Bob Gale pointed it out. But who really cares in the end.

I saw pics of the Delorean on another forum the entire car lights up from what I seen the headlights, the side marker lights, and the interior and tail lights all light up (not sure if the coils on the bumper and rear fenders do or not). and the cars are pretty $$$ you are not far off I seen the 66 hot toys batmobile go for 600 alone.

I paid just over $AU550 for the Hot Toys Tumbler about 18 months ago so given the increase in prices lately $600 is a likely bet.

Looks pretty solid on accuracy. Might have to do custom lettering on the tires if they don't get the license from Goodyear. I'm really hoping they keep the price on this thing down. It's a beauty, and probably the only Hot Toys item I'll ever consider owning, unless they do the Batman Forever car.

Aykroyd will keep trying to shill GB3 until he's dead. And who knows if even THAT will stop him.

Bob has said as much. He'll probably stipulate in hi will that it is never to happen. I'd be fine with anything he wants to write as a sequel or aside to the story, a la the recent game, or if someone were to go the comics or Broadway route. It'll never be revisited on film, though. I think Zemeckis is equally protective of the property.
