i thought he was really good in the hatfields and mccoys. he played one of pa kent's kids. :woot:

I haven't been following this whole thing for a while. Is there still any truth that they are looking for someone with movie star talent?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!:awesome::awesome:

CALLED IT! :woot::woot::woot:

Now I'm officially gunning for him! Who's with me?!:woot:

What his acting like?

This was years ago, here's some clips from his stint on One Tree Hill and Hellcats both which are CW shows like Arrow.

Matt Barr is so....CW looking. Like generic CW. I'l have to watch some clips I guess.

I for some reason feel like James MacKay would be the better actor of the two...

c'mon, kev. comic book characters are generic looking anyway. you'll love him if he got the role trust me. he's a bootleg baby goose, and realistically, he's about as close as you're gonna get to gosling who i know you'd like as barry.

Its gonna be a hard casting decision to make as the guy they get is gonna have to be leading man quality. I personally prefer Matt Barr out of the ones listed.

Gustin's way too young. I don't think people would be on board with a Barry that is younger than Roy Harper.

Out of those 3 actors, Matt Barr would be my choice. He has the look and is the right age. He definitely has series lead potential IMO.

If there is any proof that these 3 actors are being considered will someone please tell me? Because i read the same article online, and the only "proof' i found, was El Mayimbe saying they had an "exclusive inside source from the cw" and honestly...i've heard the same "inside source" crap all over the internet. And i call it crap, because usually whenever someone says they have a source within the cw/wb's company, its usually a rumor the website is making up just to stirr buzz.

But if somone has ACTUAL proof like Kreisburg confirmed it, then PLEASE let me know and i will totally eat my own words. but until then im not going to hold my breath even though they arent bad choices for The Flash

Nobody ever confirms who is screentesting before they cast someone. You'll know who it is in like 2 weeks.

Alright. I'll give him a chance. Lol.

wasn't smallville still on when returns came out?

Yep, sure was, but Smallville is vastly different from a Superman movie. The show was Superman without....Superman if you know what I mean. Not quite the same as doing a Flash tv show and then doing a Flash movie. If you took away the superspeed/hero aspect and just made it like Central City CSI then that'd be more of the Smallville equivalent, IMO.

EDIT: Can never have too much Flash though, so I'm happy with a tv show and movie. :D

so this show in no way connects to the new dc cinematic expanded universe, correct?

Well we don't really know, nothings been confirmed or denyed. I personally think they're setting it up so they can if they want to but they don't need to if they don't want to.

I certainly hope it will be then DC would already get one up on Marvel. DC really knows what to do with their TV shows and has a fantastic track record with them all the way back to the 1950s with Adventures of Superman to the 1960s with Adam West's Batman, 1970s with Wonder Woman, 1990s with Lois & Clark, the 2000s with Smallville and now the 2010s with Arrow. Let's not forget their famed animated cartoons as well. Marvel on the other hand is quite new to the TV business.

DC on Tv and in animation definitely trumps Marvel. The films are in Marvel's court but to be fair DC haven't really attempted to challenge them. They've played it pretty safe so far.

And now comes the question on all of our minds: will he dye his hair?

That's not the question we all have on our minds. The question we all have on our minds is: How are you going to make this guy NOT come off like a Teen Titan?
