Except that we know that gamma-powered Banner exists in IM's world (he cameoed in IM 3) regardless of whether the Hulk appears or not. The same is true for Thor, CA, etc.

Personally, I think that does make a difference.

Secondly, Iron Man 3 came after The Incredible Hulk, which was where the character was first introduced to the audience.

I think it's interesting they compare Flash to Hulk.

Yeah its funny actually when u think of episode 2 of the 90s series, he basically fought the Hulk in that (sort of)

I was just thinking this. :(

I do think season 2 would have been awesome though, they said they had a Rogue teamup story planned where they would each try and take down the Flash, I would about piss my pants in excitement if I ever got to see that happen - and I think they would have done it well, too, given the quality of the tv show. :word:

Definitely  the plan with the villains for season two sounded so cool.

Ha! Yeah, really! Lol. He was Tina's ex husband or something if I recall, right?

He was her dead husbands friend who was Los in love with her although he wasn't when he returned. He just pretended to be to get the notes he needed for his "hulk" formula.

I can just see it now, Starling City's newest vigilante "That Running Guy."

I like the name of Red-Yellow Blur and then be known as The Blur from then on. :p

If they're going to cast young for the show, how about Matt Barr?

He's no stranger to being on CW shows like Hellcats and One Tree Hill, and he seems like he has the look yes?

matt barr, the bootleg gosling :o

really though, he's a good choice, at least from what i saw of him in the history channel's hatfields and mccoys film. i suggested boyd holbrook for flash, who played his brother in that mini series, when the series first came out. holbrook will be in one of those malick films soon and in out of the furnace with christian bale.

Very eager to see the road that Kreisberg, Johns and Berlanti take us on within the next few months. I hope The Flash is COMPLETELY opposite in tone of Arrow (and Arrow is my favorite show). With Arrow, we have a nitty-gritty crime drama, but with the Flash we also have a crime-drama that's more light up with spirit, comediac, and death is icnredibly rare. Also, Flash merchandise could be hella popular. But that being said, I've love to see how they interact in Episode 20. So psyched.

Surely it won't be long til we find out who they cast

The showrunners have already said that Flash will be called Flash and have his comic costume, no tricks.

I think the New 52 Injustice suit looks pretty nice! Get rid of the chin strap and tone down the lines running through it, but i wouldnt mind the lines either? I hope they get the costume right the arrow producers said he will be called The Flash and he will have the classic suit, i just hope it looks good.

Anyone else think John Wesley Shipp (The Flash 1990) would make a good Jay Garrick? I know Barry Allen will be the main character in the new spinoff series but i think Jay Garrick will appear atleast once in the series. Possibly a guest star or even main?

If they do bring in Jay Garrick I hope they introduce him as the Flash of a different time and universe.

Yes definitely

Getting Shipp as Garrick would be so gimmicky. I'd rather he have a guest spot on the show as someone that isn't a Flash. Get the best actor for Garrick, don't settle on Shipp just because he already played Flash, even though he was great...

I think shipp would be a great Jay Garrick in my opinion. Im sure alot of people would agree with me and disagree, but i don't think the CW would 'settle' with him, they would hire him if he is interested and he is the best choice.

I understand you think it could be gimmicky but in this case Shipp could pull it off. It happens all the time Annette O'Toole was cast as Martha Kent and she had been Lana Lang in Superman III and she was a regular. not to mention Chris Reeve, Marc McClure, Margot Kidder, Dean Cain and others from Supermans padt all guest starred in Smallville. They all worked out well. It can be a nod to the past and still be the right decision.

And let's not forget Noel Neill (George Reeves' Lois) playing Lois Lane's Mom on that train scene.
