This is fancasting right? I fully realize this would never happen

This story would tell the origin of Dick Grayson

i like this cast but only if they do it in a 50's rockabilly theme.

Here's a Batman cast for roughly 1973 or so -

Steve McQueen - Batman / Bruce Wayne
Peter Cushing - Alfred Pennyworth
James Coburn - Commissioner Gordon
Joe Don Baker - Harvey Bullock
Ossie Davis - Lucius Fox
Klaus Kinski - The Joker
Jacueline Bisset - Catwoman
Warren Beatty - Two-Face
Elliott Gould - The Riddler
John Cazale - The Scarecrow
Faye Dunaway - Poison Ivy
Donald Pleasence - The Penguin
Henry Fonda - Mr. Freeze
Madeline Kahn - Harley Quinn
Jim Brown - Killer Croc
Yul Brynner - Ra's Al Ghul
Jane Seymour - Taila Al Ghul
Charles Bronson - Deadshot
Charlton Heston - Thomas Wayne

I wouldn't mind something like this...

Bruce Wayne- Jon Hamm/Jeffrey Donovan. If they wanna go younger, I'd like Chris Pine
Dick Grayson- JGL/Garrett Hedlund
Jim Gordon- Bryan Cranston
Alfred- Anthony Hopkins
Lucius Fox- Denzel Washington/Danny Glover... I don't know

Villains:
Mr. Freeze- Michael Fassbender
Riddler- Michael C. Hall
Dr. Strange- John Malkovich
Joker- James Franco
Harley Quinn- Amanda Seyfried
Catwoman- Charlize Theron
Two Face- Joaquin Phoenix OR Aaron Eckhart (I know he wanted to return)
Ra's Al Ghul- ??? I'd like Liam Neeson again but that might not happen
Talia Al Ghul- Olivia Wilde
Scarecrow- Cillian Murphy
Poison Ivy- Christina Hendricks

Welcome Broken Bat.

And 1000000% yes to Chris Pine as Batman!!!

He also looks like the Arkham City Bruce to me lol

He was considered for Robocop, another rebooted franchise, so that wouldn't stop him.

I think realistically he's staying with Paramount. I think that's how he got Jack Ryan.

I don't doubt Pine's acting abilities, he's great. But it would be jarring seeing Captain Kirk and Batman played by the same guy. They're both too iconic and relevant today.

Luke Evans may actually have potential. His name may be popular once the Hobbit hits and he's already with Warners for that.

I can't see any specific drawbacks with him.

I can see Pine as Aquaman, but not Batman. Maybe as a member of the Bat-family...

Pine is one of the worst suggestions I've seen, and I like him as an actor, but he's totally wrong for Bruce/Batmn.

I'm pretty sure I've seen him in more than most people here.
Princess Diaries 2, his Six Feet Under episode, Just My Luck, Smokin' Aces, Star Trek, Carriers, Unstoppable, and This Means War.

I'd say that's a good grasp on knowing he's not a good choice for Bruce.

Pine would be a good (public) Wayne, but I'm not sure if he could pull off Batman.

Pine's got range. He's a talented young actor.

It's really not his talent that would make him wrong for Batman, it's other factors.

And agreed about Evans, he doesn't have any previous leading man roles. He's really a nobody at the moment.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Chris isn't my top choice for Batman. I think he would make a pretty good Bruce though.

Nobody saw Heath as the Joker, but look at how that turned out.

Pine certainly has the potential to be Batman. We shouldn't be so quick to rule him out.

There were a decent amount of people that supported Heath, but something Heath had that Pine has yet to have, is an Oscar worthy performance.

After Smokin' Aces, I'd be much more interested in seeing Pine as The Joker than Batman.

I'm sure people did have faith in Heath, I did myself, but you wouldn't imagine him turning out anything like what he did in TDK, based on his past films.

Pine is defo star and leading man stuff. He's a great actor for what he's already shown. So who knows? Maybe he could pull it off, do something to completely change our minds. Like I said with Lee Pace, potnetial is there. We haven't seen fully what the likes of Pine and Pace can pull off, so we shouldn't be quick to rule things out. I'm not confident that Pine could do it, but like Heath, I put faith there.
