I'm happy JGL will never be Batman honestly. :o

And Affleck, while a decent actor, is actually a really good director, so I wouldn't count him out for director.

Affleck? Not Ben Affleck?

The guy who cheated on J. Lo? The guy who starred in Gigli? The guy who played a guy who played Superman? The guy who was Daredevil?

HIM, DIRECT THE JL MOVIE?!
The guy who directed Gone Baby Gone and The Town?

I honestly thought Hamm was older. Wow he's only 41. OK he's older than Bale but it's not bad at all.

If Affleck brings Hamm into JLA. Who would you want to direct Hamm in the reboot?

He would be a weird Batman. A perfect Nightwing though.

JGL's time has passed to be Dick Grayson sadly, unless the movies suddenly just jumped ahead and skipped Batman training him and their adventures.

I honestly thought saying John Blake's first name was Robin was the dumbest thing in the entire trilogy...I burst out laughing thinking
"Really, Nolan? Really?"

That's because it was one of the dumbest things ever. It was on par with Mr. Freeze's puns from B&R.:o

I completely disagree but that's an argument for another time/thread LOL.

I dont want Robin in the reboot for a few films to be honest. But yes, do Dick Grayson and dont rush into it.

Yeah, that was dumb, but what was even worse was when he was explaining to Bruce that he knew he was Batman. Besides Talia's death, that was the worst thing in the movie/trilogy.

I think having Robin right away is a great way to distance the reboot from the previous trilogy while also giving us something new. I don't want another movie of a young Batman learning the ropes. We've had that already. Let's jump right in with a seasoned Batman who has already taken on a ward.

I've blanked those parts out :hehe:

Co-sign. I don't need another origin story, I don't need another overly mopey Bruce/Batman, I wanna see a hero who while not over those issues knows how to deal with them and move forward.

The rumors from a week ago or whatever were of the reboot starting with Batman in his second year? That's good enough for me. No origin and im happy. But a seasoned Batman would be fantastic.

I agree somewhat there. But we could get a really cool story showing Batman's transformation from the ultimate loner, into a surrogate father and a team player, which would also work for the JL movie.

The way I'd probably do Robin's origin would be the prologue of the movie, highlighting the high points of his story and then fast forwarding to an older Robin(not in his 20s).

I could see Dick Grayson going out to fight crime without Bruce's blessing, and over the course of the movie Bruce learns to accept him as a sidekick.

I'd actually like to see the next franchise start with an actor in his late 30's/early 40's.

Well they could have called him dick, but that would have been awkward given the context of the woman saying how she liked it.

Yup. Go watch his movies hes directed.

He wrote Good Will Hunting too which is an amazing movie, I think hes a great actor... Hes rightfully earned back his respect post-Gigli

I see Affleck bringing something like The Avengers to the table, but with WB's finger pointed at something dark and serious, which Affleck does himself anyways.

I just found this on the MOS boards. It's Lois Lane with Garret Hedlund, who has dyed his hair black.

Lois and Bruce?

scaled.php

Hedlund hasn't proved to be a quality actor yet in my opinion. At least not good enough to take on Batman.

and no Jon Hamm please. He's the new Nathan Fillion.

They should at least give him a chance. Personally, I think he's a good actor.

And absolutely on Hamm.
