i think Hill could actually make for a decent young Penguin

Now im getting excited!
Kurt Russell or Bryan Cranston for Gordon (60 year old). Pesci for Cobblepot (70). Irons for Alfred (around 70). Joker should be between 40 and 55.

That's a pretty bad choice IMO. I love Woody, but he's just so wrong for the part.
And what's with your dog pic you keep posting every single time? lol

I'm less concerned with outside the box casting and more concerned with who is actually right for the role . There is no doubt that Willem Dafoe would be perfect for an older take on the Joker. Who cares if he played a comic book villain before? He's perfect for it and spider man was over ten years ago. Ben Affleck played a character that's very similar to Batman years ago , but no one really cared. I think people should fancast based on who is actually appropriate for the role, and not based on how outside the box or inspired it could be. That's the hipster mindset manifesting itself even in the darkest corners of our forums
Yep completely agreed. That's basically what prompted me to post my little rant. An outside the box choice isn't always automatically better than a more conventional, and maybe obvious choice.Claims that certain fan-casts are "out of the box" often seem like excuses for inappropriate choices reflecting a lack of understanding of what the characters are really about.
It gets boring seeing the same actors in fancasts, and Dafoe isn't an inspired choice by any means, but I honestly think he's the perfect actor for the role, anyone else would be disappointing .
Dafoe would bring the Arkhamverse Joker to life, I have no doubt
lol! Great actor, but i don't see it personallySteve Buscemi as Jokerlol! Great actor, but i don't see it personally
