Richard Brake can only be The Joker if Sheri Moon Zombie is Harley.

Riley Keough - Poison Ivy or Selina Kyle

Thought I'd post this here. Totally on board with this. This is a great way to not force directors to connect their movies directly to other movies. Put the connective tissue at the end. If this is true, then WB is starting to learn.

I have a good feeling about this guy. Though, the fact that he's friends with that clown from BOF gives me pause, but a lot of what this guy brings to the table rings true with me.

I don't mind if they a Legion of Doom after credit scene for each film but leave the actual film alone. And if they're all successful on their own, and they decide to launch a new Justice League..it'll be easy to introduce the villains of that movie after years of building them up. That's a pretty good idea if you want a JL that doesn't feel awkward. Just don't make any references to other heroes/villains inside the actual solo movies.

What annoys me though, is how the Legion of Doom (especially if Leto joins as Joker) is so far comprised of bad actors or they're at least really bad/annoying in their roles.

Honestly, I'd rather they just forget a shared universe idea. Get rid of Eisenberg. Who's a good enough director to even make one team versus another team work? This could work, but it also sounds like it's going to eventually lead to another messy fiasco.

It's simple. F**K Justice League. Why is that so important? Why can't they just focus on a Wonder Woman trilogy, a good Aquaman origin, a proper Superman movie and a new separate Batman trilogy? Why does everything have to be connected?

Because The Avengers made 1.5 billion.

That’s the only reason.

As a Bat-fan, I've always been dubious of the idea of a Justice League series running concurrently with a solo Batman series. It just seems too big of a tonal jump for him to be dealing with cosmic, apocalyptic threats one movie, and then back to a noir-ish setting the next.

Even if you look at the Timm-verse, Justice League only came after BTAS and STAS had their runs.

The difference is when Marvel made The Avengers, nobody on the team was an A-list hero. But the idea of seeing these different superheroes from different movies interacting with one another was a novelty item for moviegoers. For the average moviegoer who doesn't care as much about Marvel vs DC, that novelty was gone by the time JL came out. Marvel won that arms race.

Meanwhile DC has 3 A-list heroes on their superhero team. Unfortunately they're still struggling to get Superman off the ground, but obviously Batman and now Wonder Woman are proving to be powerful enough as brands in their own right that audiences would seem to prefer solos movies, rather than being forced to watch them share screen time with all these other characters.

I'm not saying there should never be another Justice League movie, but I think it's clear that forcing that to be the centerpiece of the brand has backfired.

Yeah, I know Justice League will happen again, and it deserves to be done properly. Would be nice to see a JL that begins with Superman and Batman already on the team, ready to go. But they gotta cool their jets for the time being. Not sure if that means wait like 4 years or only do JL once the DCEU is over. Solos should be the priority for the next few years or more.

I'd like to see them focus on character films with no reboot. It's simply not needed in my eyes. Then in 5 years or so, create Justice League 2.

So, I partially agree with you *Thumbs up*

In all seriousness, if this report is true, and they go down this path and plan to keep the same actors for Gordon, Alfred, Joker etc. (Which they should if Affleck is replaced), then this honestly makes me very happy.

Dude, Leto is anything but a bad actor.

I said bad actors OR annoying/bad in their roles. Leto and Eisenberg fall under the annoying category in their roles. They're both good actors.

Yeah, I was thinking that too but the more I thought about it, I began to wonder whether he'd be a good fit for Batman too.

I can't believe you're still serious about Jake Johnson. I can laugh about this for years to come.
