The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

This could be nothing and probably is nothing but I thought I'd share.

I've been solving the Rataalada puzzles and I made myself a key for all the letters. The part that's interesting is that In all the messages we've got from the site the only letter that we're missing still is "J"

Like I said probably nothing but I do find it funny that we got all the other letters and all the fan-wishing going on that we get the Joker deleted scene, maybe Riddler will give us one last puzzle regarding Mr. "J"

erik voss on new rockstars youtube channel did a breakdown on the whole movie and mentions this very thing too.
looks like something joker related will be shown on the site after the countdown.

i think reeves and co. are holding it a bit close to the vest, but i bet they already have it generally all mapped out where the story will go on from here.

they already have their joker casted, reeves having mentioned the origin of his smile being a congenital defect, etc.

that's much further along than nolan did after batman begins.

Kilar just posted some Catwoman motorcycle pics from one of Warner garages

Special guest appearance from guess who behind (can't wait to see it again in action after all these years, as well)

Yeah pretty sure in real life people would have been severely cut by all that falling glass. Batman doesn’t kill directly but definitely leaves a lot of collateral damage.

It's gotta be the scene. Or another ARG that will lead to the release of the scene. I think they are going to want to make sure that scene makes a big splash as "official canon" and not just a 'deleted scene'.

Am I the only one who thinks that’s weird? To keep hyping up a deleted scene that was NOT in the movie but it is supposed to be canon? We are supposed to believe that Batman somehow found time to visit the Joker in Arkham during the events of the film?

I get releasing the deleted scene as a treat for the fans, but otherwise seems strange.

I think whatever Reeves wants to be canon will be haha. I totally see your point though, but either way I just want to see it. :D

With how much Reeves is hyping up this deleted scene, it makes me wonder if it would have been better served staying in the final cut. It probably would have made that Joker reveal at the end not feel so tacked on.

WB did same thing after BvS. They released the Steppenwolf scene first in Lexcorp site. So I am quite sure that it will be the deleted scene with Batman and Joker in Arkham. Hope we will see Batman driving to Arkham.

Yeah pretty sure in real life people would have been severely cut by all that falling glass. Batman doesn’t kill directly but definitely leaves a lot of collateral damage.

This is the same movie where Penguin gets in a car crash that 100% would've killed him but has literally no injuries, Batman eats so much **** missing his mark in the wingsuit that the fall would probably have flat out paralyzed him, not one bullet hits Batman in the jaw and all Batman has to do to not get third degree burns from a bomb going off in his face is quickly put his hands up.

This is all stuff you see fairly frequently in the comics. Batman jumping through a window with no caution despite the fact that doing so would probably sever his femoral artery at some point happens every couple of issues basically. Him making someone have such a horrific crash you'd probably be scraping them off the sidewalk but they're perfectly fine? That's probably every three.

It may be more grounded, but it's still a Batman movie. It's still heightened reality. Grant Morrison's "nobody pumps the tires" quote very much still applies to this movie.

Penguin should've died, the glass probably should've killed people. Why didn't they?

Because it's not real. It's a movie.

Why the Joker scene should be not canon?

We are so much used to Nolan's "That's the movie, period." or Snyder's Ultimate Cut or Marvel's post credit scenes, that we forgot that until 90s or 2000s deleted scenes was regularly released in home video?

If they aren't in direct conflict with the plot or directly an alternative version, what's the doubt?

So how many hours left until the countdown is finished?

From my observations, I would say around, roughly, 6 hours. But without conviction.
Initially, I had calculated that it would be over in 3 hours from now but since we're still at 95%, that seems unlikely...

Those jerks slowed down the increase rate. THEY RUINED MY CALCLATIONS.

It increases by 1% every 1 hour and 40 minutes. Here in Europe the "download" will be complete for 7pm. So, if I converted correctly, at 10am PST for the USA. 3 hours to go !

To be fair, they did the same exact thing with the Steppenwolf scene after BvS.
