"Bat-computer, check 4chan and the Dark Web for Riddler fans."
Definitely got a few heath vibes from some of his mannerisms, especially with the mouth scars.
I'm ok with changing it up, but everyone has a threshold of where it starts becoming too unfamiliar. The patchy bald head, the extreme scarring, no chalk-white skin -- there's so little here that calls back to the character's iconic look.
I don't know, I guess I'm a little hopeful that Reeves continues to refuse calling him Joker. Maybe he has an ace up in his sleeve when that transformation hits.
For what it's worth I've a better impression of Barry here than the one in the film. The reveal of his mouth and ensuing laughter was effective. Despite the extreme scarring, it was the one moment where it was undeniably "Joker". Maybe I'll have to settle for the performance carrying the rest of the character.
The patchy hair kinda reminds me of Depression-era clowns. Bit of a stretch. More simple explanation is the character got chemical-burned and this is the result.I'm ok with changing it up, but everyone has a threshold of where it starts becoming too unfamiliar. Heath's performance is going to loom over all Joker portrayals forever. Joaquin is the only one who didn't even try to take something from it, but that's to be expected from a top-tier actor with that self confidence. It definitely does seem like the Heath Ledger version dialed up several cases.
"Ok...let me tell you what I really think"Can anybody make out what he said after Batman says he's wasting his time and gets up to leave but stops at the door. I couldn't make out the first line Joker says
You do make a good point, though. Just like Batman, Riddler, Catwoman and Penguin, this Joker is still in his "infancy." He's not "The Joker" yet. The look may very well evolve from here.

Literally everyone else has aped something from Heath, and it's frustrating how transparent it always is!

*shrug* Just going by what the director explicitly said.Lol this excuse is always trotted out.
It's never panned out.
I think you don't really care about his motives, whether he loves or hates you.Lol yeah I got that part, it's what he says after that confused me. It sounds like he starts off saying "You're only terrified-" and the next part I can't make out. Then he says "I think somewhere deep down, you're just terrified because you're not sure he's wrong"
I keep F5'ing Reeves' Twitter account for the 4K link.Where is the most HD version of it?
Cool scene but glad it was left out of the film. Would have grounded the story momentum to a halt, and as we’ve all seen, it was necessary and the film works fine without it.
