The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

2 hours and 56 minutes of it.
Is there any blood in the film, does Pattinson say the full "I am the knight, I am batman" quote, and is the sexual content warnings on some of the ratings for the film just some iceberg lounge stuff or for an actual sex scene?

Can I ask something

do people want Batman to say that full quote?

I really liked it, although the runtime is unnecessary. It's hard to really give it a rating until I see it again. There a lot going on in this film.

Lucky. So you watch the test screening with Joker cuts? Why the runtime seems unnecessary to you i heard from other screener that its seems fine, doesnt feel draggy or long at least.
You cant rate it but how it compares to previous batman/tdk trilogy?

Do people not want Batman to say that full quote?

Dont know about people, but i want it if it fits.
Not in this first movie, but when he is fully developed and all, when he faces a threat that pushes him to the limits and he is close to losing.

Then i want him to remember who he is, what he is.
He is Vengeance, He is the Night, He is Batman.

Is it cheesy? Sure as hell...but i dont give a damn.
Dude dressing as a bat is cheesy, looking at it from a certain angle.

Am I the only one who prefers "I'm vengeance" to "I'm Batman" ?

I know "I'm Batman" is iconic and "I'm Vengeance" is supposed to be the wrong mindset and something Bruce will grow out of as part of his arc but it's much more powerful and subtle to me.

I wonder if Reeves is setting up the Court of Owls and Thomas Wayne somehow being connected to it, and maybe that is why the Riddler is going after him, and why Bruce tells Alfred "you lied to me" in one of the spots. The whole deal with the Court of Owls is that its this secret society in Gotham that no one knows about, which is why Scott Snyder created them, because they knew more about Gotham than Batman does and that is what makes them a threat, and I can see Reeves using them as the major thing for his trilogy that will come to a head in the third one.

(moved this from the Joker thread due to possible spoilers) I'm not sure if someone has already mentioned this but isn't that Barry in this screencap from the teaser trailer?

That looks like some random 45-50 year old Asian guy that they're picking on for some reason. Looks nothing at all like Barry.

I'm probably very wrong but there was just something about his eyes and nose.

This is such a refreshing thing to see in an era of Marvel formulaic theme park movies. This here feels like true cinema, like the movies that used to make them in the past, for some reason it feels to me like it was made in the 80's or 90's, when a plethora of movies shaped my childhood. Matt Reeves seems like he knows what he's doing and he has created something truly special.
