The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

Can someone actually say what the issue with the 3rd act was without being vague?

Apparently bruce comes to a "decision" in the 3rd act which felt too quick. What was this decision?

Does the act just feel rushed/too fast? I hope.its been fixed now.

"Riddler plants bombs around the city to flood it"

"He stays locked up and sends out goons to enforce his new world order"

"Batman fights them citizens see he's not a figure of fear and want to help him"

"Batman is forced to use a alderian drug to overpower goons that are about to kill Selina"

"It's just oddly edited and ended"

"It's like the action stops and than starts again"

"It's slightly corny but also works in a way"

"Nothing needs to be cut just needs to add some parts to flesh out more"

Now for my thoughts.

It sounds like the third act of Dawn Of The Planet Of Apes othe action is more in the background only really there to serve the themes is constantly interrupted for character moments and sets up Ceaser to be a symbol of hope for the apes and makes you lose any respect or sympathy for Koba due to him taking it to far.

If you enjoyed or had no problems with Dawns third act than you'll enjoy The Batmans.

If you didn't enjoy Dawn's third act or disliked it than your feel the same way for The Batmans.

Yeah I loved dawn. Cant remember war for Apes tho

The "corny" comment has me curious though. Is he saying the action is Corny? Or the sequence? I wonder what that means. Maybe its the tonal shift to hopeful.

I'm not sure since he didn't elaborate on that part.

Does the third act felt rushed ? also what was the decision of Bruce ?

I’m guessing it isn’t a “bad guy loses and it’s wrapped up nicely” type of ending. The term “messy” also just seems to be what ppl throw around for anything.

I’m thinking a Casino Royale sort of deal where, after the big poker match, there’s 30+ minutes of personal stuff left to deal with.

I don't what the descion but my theroy is that his descion is him having to choose between saving people from the flood or saving Bella Reale.

We see goons and chaos at the last scene in Bat and The Cat Trailer at what looks like a campaign for her.

The person on DCEU leaks didn't say or hint at any descion.

Everybody remember this?

At one point in our conversation, he offers a mundane comment about Joaquin Phoenix, who stars in “Joker” (a movie he hasn’t seen yet), before asking to retract it. “Oh s—,” he says, adding that he’s not accustomed to thinking about spoilers. “I definitely should not say that. I’m so used to pretty art-house movies, where you can watch the movie three times and still not know what it’s about.”
Robert Pattinson on Playing Batman and 'The Lighthouse' - Variety

I wonder if he let slip that The Batman would have its own Joker.

New dialogue of Riddler saying "I've always loved little puzzles..." at 0:43 mark.

So is this just an alternate take on the "I've always loved little riddles" clip that we've been speculating might be Joker? Or, do you guys think it's a callback? Meaning, Paula Dano says "puzzles", then later Barry says "riddles", in a different scene? The two voices do sound very different, at least to my ears.

Matt was hinting at Joker all along. We see the three members of the rogues gallery that feature in the film, but Joker is in the background... just like he will be in the film. In the background, a looming presence in Arkham.

It can't be a coincidence... I refuse to believe so lol

Only OGs remember that pic

Assuming it's 2 different takes + one is Riddler talking through the phone at Arkham from Batman's side, the other is from Nashton's side of the glass. And this audio is from a TV spot that came out a week or two ago.

I’m up for it setting its tone as a detective story early on. Been wanting that for a long time.

Yup, it was rough enough trying to avoid no way home leaks during that release week. I’m relieved to see this thing before all the spoilers come flooding in.

I also think that is Joker talking to Riddler or Batman in Arkham.

Honestly I don't want Joker in the sequel. Id love to see what Reeves could do with Mr. Freeze or even the Phantasm.

In regards to the Joker, it might be too late to prevent his involvement in the sequel.
The Bat franchise is going to do what it always does, move like a freight train.
and, anything prearranged will be impossible to stop.

The way you're taking a random interview so seriously, even worse when he didn't say anything relevant lmao.

1) Barry is not the main villain in Eternals
(that's Richard Madden)
, in fact he's one of the ones with the least screen time (and not a villain). And Barry has yet to have a breakout role, so stop overreacting.
2) He's just a cop here and that's all. And you're the one who should use your brains and give the director more credit because y'all silly theories will be just that as usual.
lol

There's no need to worry about Joker being the big bad for the second movie because TDK already did that. I'd wager he escapes for the third movie so they can use him there.
