The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

There's no need to worry about Joker being the big bad for the second movie because TDK already did that. I'd wager he escapes for the third movie so they can use him there.

I really can't see them keeping Joker in Arkham for two movies. I don't really get this interest of some of yours where the Joker is just stuck in prison doing nothing.

Could be like Silence of the Lambs. With the Joker as Hannibal and Batman as Clarice. I could see them having a couple of very tense meetings. Maybe Bats needs Joker insight about a villain or something like that. Could be cool, I think. With the Joker escaping in a glory fashion towards the end.

What if instead of escaping, Batman is trapped in a Joker controlled Arkham in a third movie?

That could probably work very well too. But for right now I still want to see Joker out and about, and interacting with other villains, especially Penguin.

i need the joker interacting with the rogues gallery. the rogues gallery interracting with each other and staying as threats is something we never got on the big screen. can you imagine barry, colin, whoever are the next villains playing off each other. man....

B-b-b-b-but too much Joker :cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad:

The Joker will definitely be a big part of the sequel. That's obvious. I'm expecting Riddler, Penguin and Joker to be villains in the sequel. Along with Harvey Dent. This will be the first time we see villains being put away and reappearing. That is what Matt is trying to achieve I think. Just because Riddler gets tossed into Arkham doesn't mean it's the last we'll see of him. They have the dialogue scene between Joker and Riddler for a reason. If Joker breaks out in the sequel (which is very likely) you bet your ass Riddler will too

I think there will be a lot of villains in the sequel. But Penguin and the mob + eventually Two-Face will be the main villains.

I'm expecting that way more for the third movie if anything.

Yep, and like in Dark Victory, an outnumbered Batman , dealing with the rise of the freaks, would be a great justification for the introduction of Robin. Reeves is a big fan of the West series after all and we got a very cool, West-inspired Batrope sequence in one of the recent TV spots.

I know that was the idea being kicked around when Ledger had first made The Dark Knight, but that only would have worked in a third film because you had the Joker appear in all his glory in the second. You had a full movie with him out causing havoc, so putting him behind bars would have allowed them to keep the breakout star of the movie, but not have him be the focus.

In my opinion the final film should be like a one night to save Gotham final culminating story where Batman fights off against his entire rogues gallery to defend the city

I agree.
I thought about it too. Something like "Good Time" or "After Hours".
Maybe inside Arkham... :D:cwink:

I'm guessing that's how he sounds when he isn't raising his voice

That' "BRRRUUUUUCE" is hilarious. The regular speaking voice there sounds a bit like Kylo Ren.

The more we hear of the Riddler in the TV spots, the less and less it sounds like Dano.

Hopefully it's just alternate takes and the movie performance is closer in line with stuff like "If you are justice....please do not lie" from the first teaser. That sounded like the right balance of creepy/altered but you can still recognize Dano.

Do you think some of these could be riddlers goons, copying riddler to get at Bruce.

I genuinely think this is the most convincingly disguised Bruce Wayne in the Batman suit. Just the way Pattinson's face looks in the cowel and the makeup, his whole face changes. I truly believe that no-one would put it together by just looking at him.
