WELL YOU WON'T! HE'S UNSEEN!

It is true that we will barely see Barry's face, but after people have screenshots of it and brighten and enhance the pics, we will get a clearer look I imagine. Also, I'm willing to bet Matt Reeves, Barry or Warner Bros. themselves will release official promotional photos of Barry as Joker after the movie comes out and everybody knows

God I'm hoping this is the case

It’s been my theory for a while now that the reason they’re delaying the release of the Art of book is because they want to avoid accidentally spoiling Barry’s role and appearance in the film for as long as possible. So yeah, I bet we see concept art or sample photos of Barry with the prosthetics on.

If they're going out of their way to hide him in the film (despite prosthetic work), I'm not sure they're going to let the big reveal come in the way of promotional behind-the-scenes material after the fact. Just seems an odd way to go about that. If they wanted people to see him, they'd show him in the film.

If he's unseen in the film but they went through all the trouble designing his makeup, this might lend credence to the rumor that he is a player in the GCPD spinoff. Gordon and the GCPD vs Joker, with him ultimately being Batman's first "big catch," sounds like an instant hit for HBO Max.

but he is seen tho? we've had descriptions of his look. from what i'm understanding, you are putting credit to the "unseen" part in the cast list? i personally think it's just written that way to avoid typing out joker.

He is only partially seen, but is instantly recognizable as Joker. So when people see that scene they will know right away it's obviously Joker. But yeah you only see a bit of his face, and it sounds like there isn't many shots focusing on him, sounds like it's just one shot for a short period

I’m guessing it’s a distraction, Gordon’s probably told them all to get out whilst he talks to Batman and they was probably looking at keeping him in. So my guess was to do it so he can get out

Okay, can anyone clear up why Batman just sucker punched Gordon randomly and ran, like he was a GTA NPC?
People are saying some dialogue was cut of Gordon telling batman to punch him but I don't think so. I think batman made a split second decision because Kenzie was staring suspiciously and was probably about to intervene. Kenzie realized that Batman recognized him. Look at Batman's eyes before he punches Gordon. He probably did it without telling Gordon hoping he would understand.

Yeah, I don't get these "this clip is obviously edited" comments, I think we're given enough context to make sense of the scene without there being more to the clip.

I'll enjoy it more with a follow-up scene of Gordon chastising him for a weak right hook... instead of what people think Gordon should have done, give him the go-ahead.

We're just missing context. That's all. Batman looks over at the one cop, punches Gordon and runs out. Has something to do with that cop, which we'll learn more about when we see the movie.

We definitely need more context. Because people say that Batman just punches Gordon to maintain the illusion that the two aren't working together, which makes sense, but don't the police already know Batman is working with Gordon? He shows up at the crime scene where Gordon gives him the card from Riddler, for example.
