The riddle solution was "You are El Rata Alada", El is the Masculine "The" in Spanish but Rata is a feminine word, so it should have La before it which is the feminine "The" in Spanish.

Then Batman spells it out saying Riddler makes no mistakes, so when he said "You are El Rata Alada", he meant URL rataalada

I think Riddler also hinted that the rat has wings...Falcon(e) and Penguin both have wings....

I admit that part got me as I kept thinking bat is a rat with wings and thought that was the solution. It was really hilarious when Penguin pointed that out.

For those who already watched it, can i ask about some scenes? I want more insight/explanation.

1. The GCPD escape. If that sequence is important why Batman still invited in investigation in a later scene? They shoot at him but then it looks fine? What do you think of it?

2. When Batman get hurt but then he appeared with Batmobile? Do you think he used the same injection to make him better in that scene? The editing, maybe? It feels slightly off to me.

1. Didn't he said that he doesn't believe in the new leader promise? They promised 'a real change' but they never actualize them. So, Riddler didn't believe in them and Gotham to ever change, so he wants it to be buried. But Batman realize the opposite in the end.

2. I think the whole thing is already planned so, the video timing isnt important. But I need to see again to make sure.

Maybe he used the injection? It isn't particularly important to the plot at that point, we just assume he disappeared thanks to Batman powers.

Oh okay, it makes sense then. I need to watch it again since there's many details I missed.

And that scene was okay, I buy the power thing, i just thought it comes unexpectedly.

Didn't know I think. He said 'Bruce Wayne' to mimic at how people fussing over him as Wayne's heir, yet they never cared about the orphans.

With Bruce's newfound purpose, he substitutes one addiction (vengeance) for another. Would be right in Pattinson's wheelhouse in exploring the darker sides of Bruce.

I guess I completely misread this because it was never a question to me that he knew. Not only did he say his name in the cell, but in his apartment he had a picture of Bruce next to a newspaper that said “Who is The Batman?”

I will forever love the Nolan films and I hate to compare but it's almost human nature.

What The Batman does better compared to the TDK trilogy IMO...

• Gotham feels more real and alive
• The supporting cast matters - no matter how small their part is
• The "comedy parts" didn't feel forced
• The fight scenes came across as real as possible

Again this isn't a knock at the TDK trilogy but something that was noticeably better

I agree that the fights are an improvement and I thought Gotham had more character to it than the Nolan films.

Meh I found a lot of the chases in the Nolan films to be rather lame. The one in Begins is great but I hated the Batpod after the second viewing. This is (I have been using this word a lot) visceral...when the Batmobile revs the engine your adrenaline rises and some of the shots are very much like Friedkin in French Connection where you feel like you are in the car with Penguin and Batman.

I love the chase in The Dark Knight. My only problem is the geography of the chase. I have no idea where Batman is on the Batpod in relation to everyone else.

I think the stakes of the chases in the TDKT had a little more dimension and weight to them. IE- Rachel is poisoned and time is running out, or Harvey is in peril in the transport with Batman trying to protect him AND apprehend The Joker, Batman is pursuing Bane/his men while being chased by the entire GCPD, etc.

However, this one was a lot of fun and very cool. Driving against highway traffic (shades of Matrix Reloaded). That money shot of the Batmobile emerging through the flames, I mean how can you not smile.
