Just because its not like in teh comics (i.e a sportscar) doesnt mean its not the batmobile.
And stop with the tumbler thing. They gave it a military vehicle origin so that they could justify its existence somehow. They didnt call it the batmobile, not because it wasnt one (its a black armoured car with gadgets that batman stores in his cave => batmobile) but because they didnt want to start using the bat-prefix.
Guys like you probably made them have alfred say "will you be wanting the BATPOD sir?" so that you get convinced that it might not be a black Ducatti, but its the batcycle.
Whatever. You dont like the tumbler? Fine. It still is the batmobile for 2 the duration of two movies. Its just that a black Aston Martin with gadgets will never be able to do the stunts it did in BB.
And if you ask me, it looks great here:
/end of rage.
Dude what's with the latent hostility?

And when did I say that I did not like the Tumbler? All I said was that the Tumbler is not the Batmobile. And that the Batmobile, if they choose to create one, should be sleeker.
Nolan got it right this time I can see Alfred being a former MI-6 agent and not just a crotchity old butler. You have to understand a lot of us comic fans know the history of our favorite characters back and forward.
When these movies come out we more readily recognize the disparities. Nolan captured the spirit and flavor of the characters. And all I am talking about is the details.
The Tumbler is not the Batmobile; that is nothing negative it is just a statement of fact.
