The Batmobile Thread

Hmmm maybe bane gets a hold of a batmobile prototype (camo) and we will see a batmobile vs batmobile chase. That in my opinion, would be interesting

Tumble vs Tumbler is indeed an interesting possibility. Looking at the camo tumbler I can't help wondering if it features in that big sequence with the turned over military vehicles we got pics of the other day, as that looks like the kind of environment it would be used in.

Sued by who?

;)

I don't think Lucius Fox is going to be the one who gets him the car in this one.

He quit helping Batman at the end of TDK, remember?

Roughly quoting

"As long as this machine is here I won't be"

Bruce set up the password to log out as Lucius Fox's name.

The password destroys the machine

Lucius smiles

Why isn't our government using Tumblers?

They'd be owning Iraq right now, with them...

So happy it's back. So original and awesome.

The other pic is just a duplicate of the other pic.

I haven't been able to keep up on my TDKR gossip. Has there been any confirmation of WHEN these pictures were taken? Adding them to a facebook site a number of hours ago means nothing in regards to when the pictures were actually taken.

I'm pretty sure they're new, notice the slight difference in the paint job:

Weren't multiple versions of the original tumbler made? Could just be a duplicate...

I'm hoping that the line from Batman Begins:

Lucius Fox said:
She was built as a bridging vehicle. During combat, two of these would jump over a river, towing cables. Over here on the throttle, flip that open and throttle up. This will boost you into a rampless jump.

would mean that Fox had the two of them built, stand by Tumbler is already sitting in a shed waiting for the paint job, would make the alleged appearance of the camo one fit in with the shooting of DKR.

very good indeed.

You dont think that could be the yellow drag vehicle referred to in the filiming article posted in the Batman in the Burgh thread do you?

Could be or it could be something else entirely such has a tracking vehicle.

True i suppose but which villian would have a yellow drag car in the Nolanverse? Consider also that they are filming at a small regional airport. That other photo of the tumbler could've been taken in the hanger. I doubt it but it could be.

Well, I imagine a few were made in both camo and black. A slight continuity error is something to be overlooked. He'll probably have a new black Tumbler that he once again acquires as a camo Tumbler.

I can attest to the photos being new. A friend of mine is a Pittsburgh City Firefighter and he and a few other firefighters had access to the 31st St studios the other day where the "Magnus Rex" crew are staging their equipment. They saw the camo Tumbler and actually snuck a few pics with them standing next to it.

I really hope that even if the photos are new we see at least one more bat vehicle in TDKR be it a repainted tumbler or something else

Do you have any of these pics ?? :woot:

aww, he just rebuilt the tumber :/

they skipped a great chance to showcase a new vehicle

He didn't necessarily rebuild it, he probably found the other one and painted it black. Lucius said there were two in Batman Begins.

Maybe Nolan knew ahead of time that he was going to destroy one of them. ;)
