This more or less confirms what everyone believed, that there were two Tumblers. Even though I don't like Bruce's over reliance on Fox, it makes sense that he would acquire the other Tumbler as well. That also means there is a second Batpod.

Can't anyone see that it is slightly different,it has only one wheel in the front,not two,it's like a three wheeler.

in that new pic of the black tumbler on the flatbed- what is that covered up behind it? almost looks like a snowmobile or something.

It's the batpod from TDK.

Maybe now he can eject the Batpod at will for tight chases, or maybe he built a new one (queue speculation that the tumbler in BB that was camoflouge really did come in black, and was an actual second Tumbler) and has the old Batpod seperate. Or maybe it is something totally different, some kind of distraction.

Those aren't tires on the Batpod, they're tires from the trailer the Batpod is sitting on. Just look at the detail, they're totally different from the back wheel; they even look like plain old trailer wheels.

It just looks like these wheels belong to the Batpod, because of the tarp covering the actual front wheel

You guys are getting bit paranoid lol. It's not like we haven't seen these vehicles before. No reason to hide them. We know what they look like. Knowing they're in the movie isn't exactly a massive revelation.

We all knew Batman had to replace the Tumbler after Joker destroyed it in TDK. Now we know he's just got a new one.

You mean like reinventing the Batmobile to include an escape Batpod?

Don't get me wrong, I like the Tumbler (though I could take or leave the Batpod) but there's nothing about the Batpod coming out of the Tumbler that did anything to heighten the realism of Nolan's Batman. So if a reinvented Batmobile would have lessened the realism of the Nolan's Batman then so does the Tumbler-to-Batpod.

It makes perfect sense that the Batpod is back since he escaped on it at the end of the last film. The Tumbler though...I was thinking good riddance.

If the Batcopter is real... then i'd fully agree.

Wonder if they've altered the Batpod at all? seeing as it's possible that Bruce has probably started using it to use it regularly and i'm guessing if it's an emergency thing then it's not built for regular use?

the Pod launch has NEVER worked for me... i just cannot see hot it can happen....

But it doesn't take away from the awesome that was TDK

The tumbler's introduction in Begins was badass, it's first appearance in TDK was SUPER badass.

I can't even imagine how ultra super mega badass its RETURN in TDKR will be.

I'm glad the Tumbler is returning, it just fits so well in the Nolanverse, so visceral, and threatening. I can't wait to see another awesome chase sequence with the Tumbler.

I appreciate that you always put a super-enthusiastic/excited spin on everything to do with these movies, but I don't quite understand this. Are you saying that the third time you have seen the same thing is likely to be more exciting than the first?

Do you remember your first kiss, or your third more vividly?

...looks like the Tumbler is back. I'm not surprised in the least. Fox specifically said that two were always used in the experiments. As I've said all along, you do not make one or two on a government defense contract. You make several for spares.

Well, it was just a prototype vehicle, so there is no need to order several vehicles if they haven't got passed the prototype stage yet. That's why Bruce wanted to use the equipment that Fox showed him, because none of it was mass produced.

There could have been two vehicles, but there could have also just been one, and they are going to build another with the blueprints they got back from Coleman Reese.

The biggest problem I have with the Tumbler, besides the rooftop flying nonsense, is that it reminds me of the Breyfogle Batmbobiles. I loathe that look.
