The Batmobile Thread

Yeah I love the tumbler too! Does anyone know where in Pitt that pic was taken? I am going this weekend and wanna get more photos

If this is the "epic conclusion to the dark knight legend" than reusing the tumbler is cost saving.

Why make a new batmobile when it's going to be shelved because a reboot is coming soon?

Also "The Dark Knight Rises" is suppose to tie back to "Batman Begins" the "In combat two of these..." line would be a nice way to go back to first movie

Bruce- Do you remember when you said there were two tumblers?

Fox- Yes?

Bruce- Well I need the other one.

Fox- What happened to the first one?

Bruce- I pressed the wrong button

Look, I wasn´t crazy about the Tumbler´s design when I first saw it, but when you see what it does in action, it´s a really badass car, and you know what, it can have new tricks, just like it had the batpod coming out of it in TDK. And let´s not forget reports are there is a new vehicle, possibly a bat-chopper, that can be pretty cool.

It always reminded me of Miller's so I never had an issue with it, it was fresh and there's no harm in that. As for it coming back in this movie,
When you think about the state Gotham seems to be in; an urban assault vehicle for this movie makes more sense than Batman suddenly busting out one of Enzos latest with a gatling gun strapped on. :D

Maybe it ejects from the turbine ! :wow:

:awesome:

:lmao:

Yes!!! It's great to see the Tumbler again.

Man, I love that the Tumbler is back. I hope Bane gets a hold of it and damages it.

the Tumbler is the Batmobile...

good to see it back.

Yeah, I consider it a cross between a traditional batmobile and Miller´s tankmobile.

In real life, technology needs to be upgraded, especially if it's responsible for your well-being.

The constant re imagining of his suit and equipment in the other non Nolan Batman films had this, it just made it silly.

A large chunk of Batman Begins was about his suit and his equipment, and in TDK they made a point of showing him changing his suit and they introduced the Batpod, and it wasn't silly in those films.

It was only silly in his other films because the suits themselves were silly.

At first I was disappointed because they could use this opportunity to introduce something different but after I looked at that picture for awhile I could help but to notice how badass that war machine looks.

I for one, couldn't be happier. There's nowhere where it's written in stone that every single new Batman film calls for a brand new car and suit. In particular, I can't see what could possibly be more efficient, diverse, fast & powerful than the Tumbler.

I give up, lets have a new batmobile every fifteen minutes.

I've always thought it was funny how everyone thought we would get a new Batmobile in the TDKR, just because the one in TDK got blown up.

Does anyone ever think to themselves - "hey, he's a billionaire, maybe he'll just get another one from his...secret underground weapons development department...".

I've just never thought that "because it was destroyed", was a very wise argument; although, I wouldn't be surprised if we got some upgrades to the new one :)

How disappointing. Oh well, just one movie to go until the reboot.
