The Batmobile Thread

newtumbler.jpg

Ok the first thing to point out is the wheels on the front. In this new picture it looks like the two front wheels are touching. Where as you can see on the old tumbler they were separated by that metal piece in the middle. This would mean that the new car would look take on a triangular shape. Maybe I'm wrong and there's something weird going on with the depth of the picture but the wheels look like they are touching.
So are you saying that the front wheel is like a long cylinder, similar to The Flintstones cars?

Yabba Dabba DOOooooooo!:woot:

It's the exact same car.

If there were any differences, they'd probably be major.

Yeah, that's a good point. I guess I'm wrong seeing as everybody is disagreeing with me haha. Must be the way it's shot. But I know I'm not the only one who thought it was different.

This is totally unrelated but, you're not wrong because people are disagreeing with you.

you just happened to be wrong this time because it's not a different tumbler.

Don't think you're wrong because people disagree with you; think you're wrong because their proof is convincing.

So sayeth Henri Ducard.

I think some people want it to be different, so they find things about it that are different.

Objectively, it's the same car.

I was thinking that the one in TDK was the second Tumbler, which was given an upgrade with the Batbike (or whatever it was called) and the original one from BB was left in the cave under Wayne Manor. This one could be the original one. I remember someone saying that we were going to be seeing two new vehicles this time, one is the batplane, the other is supposed to be a new batmobile. It could be that like they did with the Batsuit in TDK we see this early in the movie which Bane trashes in his fight with Batman, then later in the movie we see something new.

Technically it would be a new Batmobile, just not a new design. And the Bat-Plane may make an appearance.

I'll be happy with this tumbler as the only batmobile...bring on the batpod as well. Don't see why he would meed a new batmobile per say...

Because being out in the open provides less cover from the entire police force of Gotham, perhaps?

My video was posted in the Pittsburgh thread, but in case you guys didn't see the pics/video, they did change the batmobile...kinda. They went back to the tan and brown paint scheme from batman begins. Here are the pictures and videos:

My reasoning would be that everything he had in Begins was something already made that he customized for his purposes. TDK suit was actually the first thing he totally designed for himself. With Reese realizing The Tumbler, it would just seem like a smart idea to create something that is 1. purely designed for his needs and 2. something that is not recognizable to anyone working on the bridging device.

They just haven't painted black yet.

Good job on that vid. I think the driver came in his pants when he saw the Tumbler.

I just love how they laugh like giddy little schoolgirls. ^^

I suspect this is supposed to be the second Tumbler that was implied in Begins, which would probably start as a camoflaged vehicle and then be painted black, just like the first one.

It's either the second Tumbler, a new Tumbler that was built, or it's a flashback.

It's the second tumbler. There is video floating around of the camouflaged tumbler in Pittsburgh, which means it is definitely the second tumbler. I'm sure there will be a humorous exchange between Wayne and Fox about the car. "Take it easy on her this time." Some bs like that.

Yes, I know it's the camouflaged one, but they could have gotten another one built, that ended up being camo, or it could just be the second Tumbler that we have theorized on, or it could just be for a flashback scene. We don;t know for sure which one it actually is.

Either way, I'm glad to see it back. I loved The Tumbler. :word:
