It is not exact but its similar.

Also, I've seen people crap on the gauntlets, but I love them. Makes sense that Batman wants to Arm himself as much as he can.

It's not the fact that Batman has gauntlets that turns me off, it's the aesthetic approach. B89 had the gauntlets, and it looked fine, but these newer takes in videogames makes Batman look like he has Popeye forearms. It just looks strange.

Arkham Origins suit looks like a blend between the TDK/TDKR suit and the Arkham Asylum/City suit.

I don't hate the bulky gauntlets but I would have preferred if they weren't there to begin with. As I saw someone point out before, it makes Batman look like a Gears of War character.

Batman should wear as least heavy and visible armor as possible. His goal is to be a creature of the night and not only does he give off the vibe that he is exactly that by not wearing armor that is too heavy/bulky or too visible but it also allows him to move more fluidly and rapidly because he is lighter.

It does look a bit Gears of War. Or like Batman has broken out of futuristic handcuffs.

The Gaunlets look much better here.

They were bad in AA and AC because they were so much bigger than the rest of his arm. Aka Popeye.

Now he looks great because the gauntlets are smaller, and the top of his arms are armored as well. Now he looks badass.

I would say it's a mesh of previous Arkham suits with some Jim Lee New 52 influence. The space between chest and shoulder for example. Most of the video game batsuits (and the TDK one) just strike me as over designed. There are things that look a cool about them but overall I would much prefer a simpler look to them. The suits just don't look comfortable to wear, he shouldn't look like a soldier whose gonna get shot at, he should look like a ninja that they won't ever hit. Capullo in the comics is doing the best modern batsuit, in my opinion. It's clearly armored underneath a tough, cloth fabric.

I agree with you. The design above is improved from its predecessor, but it still has the look of a man inside a mechanical suit. We shouldn't feel that Batman is able to smash his way through gangs and soak up bullets because of his costume and gear. They are there to save his life on the rare occasion that he is hit by a glancing bullet. They are not there with the expectation that he will be invulnerable.

The cowl design looks pretty good.

Batman..as a very in the shadows type of thing is great if he is taking on random thugs and normal humans. However, the minute he is up against Killer Croc, Bane, A titan thug etc...it makes sense that he is ready for battle.

Which he always is, because he is extremely resourceful, honed to physical perfection, a master martial artist and has a bag of tricks in his utility belt.

The idea that the suit is there to cocoon him from harm sabotages the mythos. That's Robocop, or Ironman. Batman might have a micro-thin layer of kevlar between his skin and the cruel hard world, but it is his strength and wits that keep him alive.

Since when has he needed a special suit to fight Croc, anyway?

*Sigh* I'm sure that game is great- I've never played it- but now it seems that, along with the Nolan movies, it is all that anyone knows.

Bats don't need it.

It's cause things need to be realistic now, mannnnn. If a guy was fighting a mutant Crocodile-man, it would be unrealistic if he fought him in spandex. Much more realistic if he wore armor.

Batman didn't have any special suit to beat Croc in AA. What are you guys talking about?

We're talking about armor suits, which the AA suit most definitely is.

Hey guys what do you think about Batman's new suit in Arkham Origins?

That's not what I meant. Someone here said Batman needed a special suit to take down Croc in AA. That is false.

Not if, as Trav contends, you identify the suit worn by Batman in AA as 'a special suit' in and of itself.

It wasn't really a special suit. Other than the bulky gauntlets and boots, it was pretty much the suit from the comics.

.....plus, some people can't take jokes.

I see. I need to work on my internet humor :oldrazz:.

I love the new Arkham Origins suit,I think it could work on film!!
