i really hate the batman inc suit. it's probably my least favorite batman costume

I don't like it either. It's definitely not the best costume of the past 30 years...

I love the Batman Inc suit minus the yellow oval but that is more of a taste issue. I think the yellow logo looks great on that suit but it's just that I'm not a fan of the yellow logo in general. I prefer the black bat. That being said, I would love the Inc suit but with the black bat instead.

I would also love to see a more sleek version of the Arkham Origins suit. I think that would also look good next to Cavill's Superman.

Personally I don't want to ever see the yellow oval logo... But it's not up to me haha, , Just everytime seeing the oval I think of a bullseye and reminds me of when the comic's when Batman had to be tone down the darkness, Maybe in the first one they could do it, then change to the black bat in the squeal
There is no point having a symbol unless it is visible. What is the symbol for if not to be seen?

Besides which, there are two practical purposes that have been accrued to the oval. The first is that it is the most heavily armoured part of the suit, and does indeed form a 'bullseye', as you suggest, distracting a gunman's aim from the weaker areas. The second is an innovation of Grant Morrison's, and plays to the idea of the symbol's visibility: it can be illuminated as Batman goes into an attack, letting his prey know exactly who it is they are dealing with.

On an aesthetic level, the yellow oval pops with the yellow belt, and allows a darker shade to be used beneath. This is why the Incorporated suit looks okay without trunks, but the new 52 suit looks bland and 'naked'.

still better. gloves and boots aren't over-designed and contrasting with the rest of the suit, and the cod piece doesn't stick out as much because it's the same materical as the rest of the suit.

A quick composite of what I'd like to see with the bat-reboot suit. used the Arkham suit but changed the gauntlets, boots, and mask.

Change the belt, and it would look 100x better. Not having the huge boots and gauntlets throws off the proportion of the belt, IMO.

The gloves and boots have always contrasted with the suit in the comics, as has the cape and cowl.

I agree about the cod piece thing, though that seems to be a peculiarity of the videogame version, which I hadn't seen before.

What about a retro logo - Bruce Wayne is watching the 1931 film Dracula and is inspired to create this dreaded creature on his Batsuit:

i'm not talking about the color, i'm talking about the design style. the suit is clean, but you get to the gloves and it looks terrible.

also the cod piece isn't just a game thing, it has the same problem in the comics. the earth one suit is miles better with the same concept.

I haven't noticed it in the comics. The problem, I think, is if you get rid of the trunks you either have to replace them with an awkward bulge, or pretend Batman has no penis.

Which indicates it would be no problem in live action for Batman. Good thought.

Nice - similar to what we have seen before, he goes out prehaps in a more 'ninja' style costume, prehaps the basis of his suit, kevlar padding etc - he is watching dracula, see's him freak people out with the cape pose and he begins sketching

What is the opinion on the scalloped cape having weights at its points, allowing it to be used as an assault weapon?

I really don't like the sharp nails/fingers. Not a fan when anybody goes down that route.

Just watched The Scarlet Pimpernel tv series with Richard E. Grant. His character, the fop Sir Percy, has an excellent tailored wardrobe, and when he is captured brings out all kinds of tools and weapons that have been hidden in the lining of the material and in his boots! Quite ingenious.

It would be nice to see a bit more of Mr. Grant. He has played some great parts!

If the oval's a bullseye, so is the belt, which is nearly always yellow. So what's a little extra yellow going to hurt? And the yellow oval doesn't really correspond with any specific era. It was there for the campy 60s, the darker, more grounded 70s and early 80s, and the grim and gritty late 80s and 90s.

I think it is funny how many people don't like the armored suits because they think Batman should be more stealth while ALSO wanting Batman to have a bright yellow oval on his suit. Makes sense...
