do you guys think it can break $100 million domestically on opening weekend?

Judging by the first day ticket sale, I'd be very surprised if BP doesn't do well over 100 million in its OW. I'm just so happy to see it getting the kind of reception I'm hoping for already, and if the movie is truly good (and I know it will), then BP will become the kind of movie that is profound and electrifying.

At the rate of presales, BP will easily break Deadpool's opening weekend record ($132M 3-day, $152M 4-day), if not match it. The early estimates at $80M-$100M are just too low. The black demographic will turn out in droves for this film, not just Marvel Studios fans. I expect a lot of walk-up sales that weekend too.

Captain America: Winter Soldier is the bottom for BP's opening weekend ($95M), while Deadpool is the ceiling. President's Day holiday will boost things even higher. I honestly think BP could hit $150M 3-day and $165M-$170M 4-day, depending on how well audiences respond to it.

There are still three areas where Marvel has barely scratched the surface. 1-animation of their comics-2-Memorable villains and three -Soundtracks.
K Lamar is onboard to help with the soundtrack for BP, so there will be an added layer of interest in this movie that other MCU movies don't get.
IMO-Every Marvel super hero should have their own theme song. To this day, no one has forgotten Spider-Man Spider-Man does whatever a spider can!

Good for marvel that this film has already done great numbers.

Could be one of the best performers of the year, only think deadpool and infinity war will out do it.

Just look at the commercials for the kid's toys based on the film, it's literally the first mainstream toy commercials on tv to feature all minorities. That's a big deal.

If you are a fight fan or old enough to remember a Muhammad Ali fight. people on the internet are talking about getting dressed up for this movie.This is going to be HUGE!

While I'm a bit nervous about the Asian market in box office, Coming to America (which came out about 30 years ago) which consisted of primarily a Black cast was a big success in Japan so I think BP has the chance of being a success and that was about 30 years .

The only thing that matters now is if the film will be good or not because a good story and a well recieved movies most of the time do well at the box office

This^^. But I have a really strong feeling the story will be on point and the cast will deliver, on top of some of the best action sequences Marvel has ever delivered. Even though he is young, Coogler is a very good director and knows his way around a camera and storyline. He has proven that with his track record. This won't be your every day run of the mill "urban" movie. As a matter fact, it won't be an urban movie at all, the main actors just happen to be black (African) facing an international/universal dilemma. This is gonna be huge folks. I have not come across anyone, black or white who has no interest in seeing this movie. It seems as though everyone is "curious" about it, in a good way.

I'm hoping BP can beat Deadpool's OW (132 m). Then 300 m would pretty much be a lock DOM.

I actually have a gut feeling GOTG2 OW (146 m) is in the cards.

Especially with record breaking ticket sales.

Polling numbers are one thing, but when you have hardcore ticket sales breaking records weeks before the actual movie, you don't have to be an oracle to know this movie is going to break all kinds of box office records.
