What's your preferred body wash? Mine is Ivory Original Scent at the moment. It just smells so clean and I love how it feels after using it.

I’m thinking of getting one of the coffee scrubs things to really give everything a good scrub

I just watched a documentary on HBO on the dangers and possible toxic things found in the ingredient called "Fragrance" used in everything. Much worse in the States then in Europe though. Companies get around because their "Fragrance" is their "proprietary secret" and doesn't have to be listed. We are going to go through the rest of brands but anything new will be without the word fragrance.

I remember the great 'Do you wash your legs?' debate of 2019 that swept the internet and media.
In May 2019, Twitter user Conor Arpwel had Twitter users in an uproar when he tweeted out a simple poll question — do you wash your legs when you take a shower? While it may seem random, it’s an interesting question to ponder.

The poll, which generated over 852,000 votes, was split 80-20, with the majority of voters stating yes, they wash their legs while showering. Days later, comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres put up the same poll on her own Twitter account, which garnered similar results.

I am currently enjoying bluebeards revenge moisturiser. It’s probably my favourite so far. Really helps during the winter months

People don't wash their legs?

I assume, a lot of people wash from head down and all the soap from the top runs down the legs. Maybe they think that and 20 minutes of hot water is enough.

I always wash my legs with soap and washrag if I've set on a toilet, especially a public toilet, since my last shower or if I've sweated alot, otherwise I only scrub them every other day. I haven't wore shorts since I was 13 so my legs don't really have a chance to get dirty. I've never had acne on my legs either so my method seems to be working all right.

I use Garnier Pure Clean with Aloe extract shampoo on my hair and beard because my scalp and face sunburns easily in the summer.

I use Dove Clean Comfort or Dove Extra Fresh body wash from the neck down.

Bar soap, no matter the type, always leaves my skin feeling dry and uncomfortable.

Bar soaps!

Shea Moisture for body
CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for face (am)
Neutrogena Original for face (pm)

I tried the charcoal soap but honestly I don’t think it made much of a difference. Oh well, sometimes it’s fun to try something new

American Crew 3-in-1 shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

And I wash my legs after exercise but usually don’t during my morning shower. I typically shower twice a day.

I tried Arm & Hammer body wash at one point because it was a dollar and honestly it wasn't bad.

So since I loved Ivory Body Wash (the blue one smells so good), I got curious about using bar soap since it's supposed to be better for the environment and can last longer than body wash. So I tried Ivory Bar Soap and I feel clean, but it lacks the scent of the body wash.

Also FYI you're not supposed to touch the bar to your body and instead create a lather with your hands or scrubber/washcloth and apply to the area you want cleaned. Apparently television has lied to me about this.

I alternate between two Dove body washes.

One being the Dove Men's Mineral & Sage Body Wash, the other being the Dove's Relaxing Body Wash with Lavender and Chamomile. If you've had a stressful ass day, take a nice hot shower with the chamomile one, it will refresh you. Can't praise it enough.

Love taking a shower after a long day at work. I usually come home, cook dinner, and shower. Then into my pajamas and stream something on TV.

Ironhead Hayward didn’t lie to you about this. He told you all about using the “lather thingy.”

Oh my God my mom used to buy this for my brother all the time. I had no idea body wash was marketed as a feminine product at one point?

They make bar shampoo and conditioner now!

I am ashamed to say that with the hyper masculine culture of the early 1990s, coupled with the insecurity that I naturally felt as a teenager, that I never felt comfortable using body wash in the showers in high school after playing sports. I thought my teammates would make fun of me.
My go-to was Canoe bar soap on a rope. If they would’ve made shampoo as a bar on a rope at that time, I’d have been all over that.

Now, in my late 40’s I am glad that I don’t care about others opinions regarding such silly aspects of life, and I am trying to raise secure, and self confident teenage boys who will not fall into the same trappings that I did.

So update: I'm no longer an Ivory girl. I had to give it up since I now know that the body wash was irritating my skin while the bar soap made it break out as it was too drying. So I tried the Dove beauty bar and I think I found the one. It smells almost as good as the Ivory Body Wash and so far hasn't irritated my skin.

i may be the only female i've ever met who absolutely hates the smell of lavender. so many products are lavender scented :(
