I hope craig will be back. But to we know his schedule and production schedule it could go either way.

Yeah Bond was in great shape. Fleming goes into great detail about his daily workout routine, his being a champion sportsman all through school and the military. A lot of the novels surround Bond's athletic side I think, they heavily feature skiing, scuba, golf, climbing as well as enough women swooning over him on the beach someplace that it's pretty safe to say that was was in pretty good shape. Sure he's been called thin and angular, but I always saw that as him being one of those guys who looked skinny till you paid attention ... like Bruce Lee.

Ah, alright, cool then. I've never read the books so I've always been kind of confused about the size and Connery's size in terms of accuracy. A sportsman's body would be different from a body builder's body anyway.

I really like Craig as Bond, but I wouldn't mind it all that much if he got replaced by Clive Owen. I know it's a cliché choice, but that guy would be perfect. Plus, he should be in better movies.

:awesome:

I love Craig, but I was rooting for Owen to be cast before Craig was.

I wouldn't mind Hugh Jackman either to be honest. Christian Bale too.

There's your first problem :awesome:, getting to know a literary character through movies, kinda like Tarzan, Sherlock Holmes and Conan. All characters many people think they know but don't really.

It's a moot point, but I actually thought the essence of Conan was very well realised by Arnie's first movie. Not the detail, but the essence.

Craig, for me, just had much more "edge" than any other Bond. In second place is Dalton, then Lazenby, then Connery, then Moore. It is really only one side of the character, but I think that it makes Craig absolutely magnetic to watch. There is a raw sense of violence to him, but a genuine repressed tenderness, as well. For me he is the most intriguing of the Bonds so far.

Bondgirls: I have reached the conclusion that the best possible balance is homely, scrubbed-clean wish fulfillment; combined with exotic, perfumed wish fulfillment. Diora Baird and Frieda Pinto, anyone?

I just want a woman who can hold her own with Bond. I'm tired of the woman who's just there to look good, as good as they may look. That's why Vesper is my favorite Bond girl. She's beautiful but also intelligent but you don't need to put a gun in her hand to make her strong. Honey Rider pulled out a knife on Bond when they first met and ***** Galore wasn't easily seduced to begin with. But they're all Bond girls, they fall for him anyway.

Yeah I know. I've been meaning to read From Russia With Love. Moonraker sounds vastly superior to the film.

And reading Sherlock Holmes stories has given me more perspective on the true Holmes as well. Brett is probably the closest, but RDJ's varies. It's faithful to an extent but I love the changes to his.

So did Vesper.

Yeah, that's what I meant. No matter how strong they appear to be or may dislike him, they fall under Bond's spell.

But Olga didn't though. At least didn't bed him.

As for Quantum of Solace, I think it will be far more favorably looked upon in the Bond community with time. It is not a bad film at all. It is actually pretty good. One thing that stands out in repeat viewings is Daniel Craig's performance, it is easily better in the second one. Dame and the dude who played Mathis is also superior in Solace.

If there isn't another movie in 2012, then yeah Craig reign is over. And this is coming from someone who loves his interpretation of the character and both his films. I want to see as much as him in the tuxedo as possible. But gotta be realistic here, kiddos.

The dude isn't going to wait forever while MGM tries to get their **** together. No matter what anyone says publicly (which you should never take as the Gospel) and especially considering the red hot offers Craig's getting nowadays.

Excellent find.

Now that it looks like the next Bond is finally getting going, have you thought about what you’d like to do for the next score? And how do you hope Bond’s character, and the series continues to evolve?

I haven’t thought about it yet. We only just got the news that we’re back on. But ‘there’s many a slip twixt cup and lip’ So I will keep quiet until I get a script and then start writing ideas. I just hope the next one is as good as my favorites, as I think everyone does. And I’m always interested in what Daniel Craig brings to the part. But like most things with movies, if it ain’t on the page etc… All I can say is that I’m looking forward to a great script for it, alongside every other Bond fan in the world!

Nice to see that Arnold hasnt heard anything other than Craig returning.

Is it because of Batman? When I first saw American Psycho I thought he would be a perfect Bruce Wayne. When I first saw Clive Owen I thought he would be a perfect Bond. It hurt when it went to Craig...until I saw CR.

Nah, its not because of batman, I just dont see Bale as Bond, never have and its even more apparent for me now. As for Owen, I've never really liked Owen, the guy just bores me. He's so dull and has a dopey sounding voice.....all imo of course.

But we're talking about movies. Quantum Of Solace had a definite Bourne movie influence. Casino Royale had some as well but it was overwhelmingly Bond.

Um, the Bourne movies copied the Bond movies. Bond is only doing what he's always done. If audiences didn't sleep on the Dalton movies, they would have seen Bond running around and jumping over rooftops in Tanjiers 20 years earlier.

On another note, Craig isn't going anywhere, he loves the role and the producers love him. Craig is hot property right now and the producers will fight to keep him on board.

As a contingency, I MUST see Michael Fassbender take over the role once Craig holsters the walther.

American Psycho undoubtedly put Bale on the radar with some folk (I'm one of them) - people saw this British actor with a chiseled hard body/face and suburbly styled hair wearing a tux flitting between effortless charm and cold detachment with ease and thought 'Bond'.

It was then Equilibrium that then proved to be that he could be Batman.

Pretty much agree with all of the above, to be honest.

Well she was out for vengeance too for the person she loved who died so that was kind of understandable. That was another thing I kind of liked. He bedded Fields anyway.

It's not a bad film, but it is a step down from CS. I think of this film as the fast paced third act of the two act of CS, it sort of makes this film better.

Bond has always had shaky-cam action sequences?
